I hate it when I want to spend money on a figure and I can't 'cause no one's making it. Is Bond big in the Orient? The Sideshow line was good in its day but it doesn't really stand up now, with the exception of the Lazenby sculpt.

I want a Hot Toys Daniel Craig figure with alternate 'bloodied' headsculpt and a Thunderball Bond with Jet Pack (as long as they don't pull any of that 'no likeness rights' ^^^^ on us).

And I don't want a RAH Bond. Can you imagine Daniel Craig's head on a body with the physique of a 12 year old boy?

God, I wish.... If HT got the Bond license?? :drool

I can only imagine how badass the sculpts would be, and the clothing... Holy Hell that would be awesome.

Absolutely yes,100% I will buy everything they produce.Of all Sideshows misses, the chance to produce a 1/6 Connery with Rocket Belt, perhaps the most iconic transportation device in all of popular culture is the least understandable and the most unforgiveable.Funny i was thinking about this just this morning while watching a Guy zooming about with a Rocket Belt on TV.

I NEED a PF Craig bond to go with my Thunderball Connery. but a HT 1/6 line would be fantastic too. theres a good chance id buy every figure in this line

Given HT's reputation for making stuff nobody else has the balls to try I'd expect something like the Gyrocopter or an Aston Martin if they got the Bond license and the figures would no doubt kick ass.

I think that's an awesome idea.

Personally I'd rather see a set of ALL the Bonds, starting with Connery and going up to Craig, and their respective costars and villains. Q (with all sorts of accessories), Blofeld, Dr. No, Oddjob and Jaws are a must. Dame Judi Dench as M would be pretty cool too, in an odd way.

As we've all observed in other threads - HT doesn't go too deep into a line unless it's an overwhelming hit, like Predator. So if they did Bond, I'd imagine they'd do Bond and a current villain and that would be it. No way they'd go as deep as SSC did.

But a HT line would still rule the SSC line, no matter how many or few figures they did. The quality of their suits alone make them the perfect match for Bond. And I'd be happy with one of every Bond, plus a 1/6 scale Aston Martin.

Just typing that made me smile - can you imagine a shelf in your house with six Yulli sculpted Bond's on it plus a 1/6 scale Aston Martin?!??!!!!!

The only Bond figure I want is a Daniel Craig Bond. So it figures that he's the one that hasn't been made.

Hot Toys could probrably do Craig well, something no-ones managed as yet. I think there are enough Bond figures around otherwise, think of the expense! times are hard you know!

I can't see this ever happening. As for the Sideshow figures not holding up now - that's crap IMHO. The only problem is the buck. You can pick up a HT True Type for $30 and swap it out and it would still be about half the price of a HT version.

And Dave's right - you'd be lucky to get anyone OTHER than Daniel Craig. Look at what they did with their Terminator line.

I would totally be up for some 1/6th Bond vehicles though. It does seem odd that no-one has really gotten into 1/6th vehicles much, even at the low end of the market.

My guess is that companies are a bit scared off by the consumer's reaction to how much space it would take to store/display 1/6 vehicles. The HT Tumbler thread probably has just as many - if not more - people in there saying they will pass because of the size as those who pass for financial reasons. I would imagine low-end vehicles would need to be produced in a fairly large number to be profitable, and there just may not be enough people who would want to purchase such a large toy. Besides, make them cheaply and people won't want to display them with their ultra-realistic figures. Make them look more accurate and they become cost prohibitive. (Plus I imagine licensing the designs would be hellishly expensive - eg slap a "Porsche Designs" label on a $20 tie pin and it all of a sudden becomes $200+)
