Iron Man will never be a PF because there isn't a mixed media needed. As for the Modern request, the Granov version pretty much sums it up as the suit itself even in Civil War went though slight mods nothing too major.

There are quite a few I'd like to see done. We need a Comic Accurate Silver Mark I with a Gold Exclusive Comiquette. We need a War Machine (it started out as an Iron Man suit remember) and I'd love to get the Modular suit (Mark XI) done as well since that was the suit he wore throughout the 90s.

I wouldn't even mind the Mark XII which the retro slightly different than the classic given but still very different:

and who can forget the Mark XVI: The Heroes Reborn somewhere down the line:

There are dozens of possibilities really:

I'd love to see them do a "Stark Industries Dio" where they relesed a different set of armor encased in "glass" that you would be able to put together and create the wall of armor that would ultimately come with table pieces and a Tony Stark working. That'd be tits.

I'd take any Iron Man collectible with armor up until the big boots version done by Byrne/Romita Jr (I think). I could never picture Iron Man walking around with those big fkn boots those guys gave him; kinda like watching Gene Simmons walk around stage on those platform shoes of his.

I'd say a LSB is the last thing we need. There are so many more options that would be greater.


I hope the next peice is the Mark III Com from the movie.

You could use gold leaf for the gold parts.
Like one of King Tutankhamen's gold leaf covered small statues. I've seen them in person. Nice.

i always thought the same, but case in point Abomination, the only mixed media on that monster is a small set of speedos

from what i understood, is that premium format stood for premium quality and control, meaning for a A+ statue with or without mixed media.

Not really. According to Sideshow PF were 1/4 Scale Mixed Media statues. The HULK really first introduced a lack of Mixed Media with how little he had compared to those before him. Then you got to the THING who has even less and then of course ABOMBINATION falls into that category as well. What broke the mold was the CREATURE PF which had mixed media but on its base. It was a technicality to say the least. SSC was quoted that PF really now stand for 1/4 scale pieces and if you look at the Comiquettes even the Granov IRON MAN, its slightly smaller than 1/4 not but a whole lot but slightly so that classification would fit. The Stealth was also classified as a Comiquette as was the Classic IRON MAN where they could have essentially gotten away with making the "gold" parts fabric or stretched rubbery substances or anything else even the Gold leafing suggestion because the 70s look was always vague really in its drawings but they went full polystone. What proves to me that they'll never be an IRON MAN PF is that with the film inspired Mark 01 you saw the chance for some mixed media. Tony had a few sacks under certain parts in order to maintain a kind of underarmor for the larger pieces and instead they went completely sculpted. In reality if you look at all the armor variations that was the best shot to be a mixed media piece and they pass on it. So I guarantee you that IM will always be the anchor of the Comiquettes line.

Personally I think those are givens. I don't know how Sideshow could ignore the film Mark 03 and it makes good business sense to wait until after the 1:1 is out so people don't just go "I'll just get that". After the Mark 03 is out then you'll probably see some resculpting to make a Mark 02 shortly after.

The best bet to get the Mark 03 standard and then have a Mark 02 exclusive.
