Am I alone in thinking there's no way there's 5 seasons worth of material here?

Honestly, I don't see how they'll fill even 10 more episodes for a season two.

Are they gonna nip this little rebellion in the bud and go back to business as usual? That would be awfully boring and anti-climactic. Or will they show the full anarchy of the robots hell-bent on destruction? That's good for maybe 5 hours at most.

I think they tied up pretty much all the MAJOR loose ends anyway. After all, this was really expensive. Maybe it was planned to be seen as a stand alone season in case the ratings weren't there and it didn't get picked up for a second season. Showtime already had a really expensive "one and done" this season with Vinyl which tanked in the ratings. But obviously it's a big hit ratings-wise so the show will go on, but I'm actually fine with the ending the way it is. I'm not interested in a long drawn-out "us vs. them" post apocalyptic survival soap opera like The Walking Dead.

I think they can keep the show going for a little while longer if they branch out into the other worlds. I'd like to see them bridge the other worlds and characters with someone like Maeve, show the revolution spreading, introduce new characters, bring back old ones, and have it all culminate in one final season where the hosts either definitely win or lose their freedom. Then maybe throw in a little scene showing the story may not actually be over. Dun-dun-duuun!

This is 'Planet of the Apes' with robots instead. The robot revolution. And the society they make. If POTA can make 5 movies, I'm sure good writers could have an allegorical field day in 4 more 10-episode shows.

I'd love to see, by the 3rd season, the rise of a robot society... and the good and bad that comes with it.

We may not have a full understanding as to what they want to do with the story, so saying there isn't enough material to keep the show going is baseless. I mean, the show is whatever they write It to be. If they decide to abandon the park and follow the hosts out into the real world, then I could imagine this show going for a very long time.

Wor-Gar beat me to the punch.

Almost every concept has its tired moments. Even Breaking Bad had some fillers. The Wire never did though. That's why it's the greatest show of all time.

Westworld is amazing but its concept can only go on for so long before it gets stale.

Awesome show! My wife and I just started with episode one a week ago and finished the season finale last night. Westworld definitely shows you just what a great show is supposed to be. Can't wait for Season 2.

Yeah although season one was great, I'm curious as to where they are going to go for the next possible four seasons. I'm sure with HBO they have plans, but what kind of twists they will be anyone can guess. if not then it will fizzle quickly.

This can go on for decades if they keep making the humans shoot at the hosts like blind idiots and getting ambushed. Jesus, not one bullet from an automatic rifle hit the blond chick when she was standing there. It's beyond ********. That's how the hosts will run the world by "Neo-ing" bullets.
