Statue Weta Announces Barad-Dur

Love my Weta pieces. That's my main focus now

I'm gonna ask Maximus Miniatures to make a non-transparent hand-sculpted fire Eye on this tower, it would be something like fire on old WETA Balrog. It will be made of PVC and hand painted. I'm already getting molds of the top to give MM horns to sculpt it on.





No need to PM if you're interested. I will create the thread in the Custom section when the Eye is ready and will post the link here. So I'm going to make an Eye, yap. Jump in, guys!

Also, I have 2 disgusting chips on base, it's painted now, but it was light gray. Gosh!



Anyway, this statue is huge and beautiful. Extremely overpriced and lazy painted, but still beautiful. It's so bad that I need it so bad for my collection, so I could not skip it. I wish I could... But I can't.

V-Raptor, WOW I am sorry for the poor item WETA sent you and is very discouraging on something that is supposed to be their flagship piece and is unacceptable, IMHO! How did they mess up the all black paint scheme? I love the idea of your eye and am interested on how it comes along!

Honestly, I'm not bugged with those chips at all. Fixed withing 10 minutes, but HEY! I've pain almost 1000$, why I should even do it by myself? That's the shame.

I will send my horns copy to the studio next week and than there will be some WIP shots. No cancellation with eye, I just hope that we will be able to do it nicely.

What a nice, awesome collection you got there eti023 . Very nice set-up - although you've got lots of items, the way they're displayed is easy to the eyes. It doesn't look cramped which makes viewing the collection a pleasure and you get to appreciate each item. Good on ya! Congrats.

Congrats on your new Barad.Dur! It's marvellous isn't it? You found just the right spot for it!

Mine also found it's place next to the Dark Lord recently, unfortunatly it had to be at the top of the shelf, not really ideal viewing angle...still love it though!
