Well, what do you know, not $800+ after all, who knew.... hmm, wait a minute :p

Other then that, clearly Weta's servers aren't use to a massive traffic hit, given it doesn't happen that often. Still, I got a confirm email for the first 300, so with luck, it's all good.

PS. It looks awesome btw.

I just ordered mine! It said (Rivendell(First 300 with Art Print)) so hopefully that means I got in on time.

Woot! Got mine too! I got one of the 300 so there must have been that were made available....whew!

Fooey, I didn't know about this so I just ordered and didn't get into the 300. Don't know if I want it that badly now. I really like it, but....... :(

Prototype looks great!

Price is also attractive.

So far so good for weta. Looking forward to actual pics to see how factory paint holds up.

That's going to be a real challenge too with all the tiny details like moss etc.

The art print and numbering is very nice...but if you don't intend to resell it then the open edition is just as good because weta may very well release more art prints (similar to the disturber of peace piece) and who knows, rivenddell might be the next art print.

Wow. Already sold through? I was on the fence, off it now since I can't get it with the print. $400 just sounded a little high but everything is getting pricey nowadays.

Yep. Definitely still an expensive high-end collectible, but i think many people are pleased with the price weta has set.

Oh well, didn't get one of the 300 but I'm hoping those who only bought one and got 5 of them, those 5 mistakes were counted. When the dust settles, I hope there were less than 300 ahead of me. Anyway, I wasn't that blown away by it, mostly by the terrible trees. Whoever did the trees should be shot, they are clumpy. The buildings look great and the way it is layered and dense in a wrap around, it is truly impressive work. Trees need to be repainted also, it looks like a danbury xmas piece. Price was better than expected, weta dollars helped.

But you got to consider the size of it, a footprint of 46x31cm is a fair chunk of poly, and lets face it, it's not like much of that base area is empty, it's pretty much fully covered.

And yes, there could be another Rivendell art print, much like the Bag End one. Remember, the print included with the first 300 is a 'making of' print, showing the progress and steps of the project, rather a pure concept type print and nothing else.

Yeah, thats awesome. I added it to a small blurb at the bottom of our article on TORN updating folks that it was on the product page. Really really amazing product and was fun to be able to do a little write up on it.

I love how Weta has chosen to have the environment spill over the sides of the base in places. It adds a whole new sense of drama and interest to the overall composition. :clap

I, too, was impressed with the spill-over effect.

It's really amazing at how large and detailed the piece is, yet at the same time how affordable it came out. Amazing job WETA!! :hi5: I knew we'd be floored with the final reveal. :horror
