Well in fairness to myself I did say an OE would run between $500-$600, and so while I was off somewhat I can take consolation in the fact that I won't be spending as much as I expected to. Based on the OE price though, I don't think my prediection of a $800-$1000 500 ES Rivendell would have been off the mark at all. :

It was more me being happy for being right for once!!I have to enjoy it!

And if it was a 500 es then i agree it would have been a lot more

I forgot all about this piece. I am not one of the first 300 and that is ok as it is the statue that I am most interested in.

It's really amazing at how large and detailed the piece is, yet at the same time how affordable it came out. Amazing job WETA!!

I got out the ruler last night and measured out the basic size.. and yeah, its big, really big and not pretty heavy too, based on the website info. Going to make displaying interesting, but I'll work something out. Even so, considering it's size, $400 is almost cheap.

Postage sure wasn't cheap tho, cost $92 USD, but then I guess it's not going to be a small box either, god knows where I'm going to put that

I am really liking this...but not sure I want to spring for it. The Exclusive is sort of a meh for me since I have no place to put Fine Art...but I LOVE that this is an OPEN EDITION...that way...as folks have already stated, I can build up funds over time...and even wait til some in-hand pics arrive and get a decent review from fellow collectors.

As Guru said the print is the process from wo to go so really just something to add a bit to the whole piece. Have seen a few pics from above and there is just so much to this piece.....just amazing.

I'm having second thoughts since I'm afraid of a Sauron PF coming sometime soon. Right now I have nothing shipping past October, but I'm not sure what's coming up. If I decide to cancel, how do I go about doing that with Weta. I've never ordered anything from them before. If I get pinched for money in the fall, I might have to let this go.

It's beautiful, no doubt, but I've never collected environments or Weta pieces, and not sure I want to get myself started. I've already been eyeing Bag End.

IF HT, or SSC for that matter, ever does a 1/6 Bilbo, I would love to see a Hobbit Hole like SSC did with Yoda and his little house. I have that coming soon.
