Boy, do I understand school work slowing everything dow!. No wonder you're strapped for time. I didn't mean getting another seamstress as you're doing a fantastic job as it, I meant is there anything (other than lack of time) that is slowing you down? Those members on DoA have tricks for everything it seems from sewing tiny things on the machine to making sewing those things go faster.

Good luck with everything!:1-1:

Re: WGP's Doctor Who (printed pics posted!)

Ideally because of the length of time involved per costume WGP could use six seamstress. I'm not even kidding. Most tailoring projects take 4-6 months (and they shouldn't), but this is everyones second job. Right now we have 4 Seamstresses, soon to be 3.

LaSiren I PMed you about the DoA seamstresses.

Shipping is $7. :)

Re: WGP's Doctor Who (printed pics posted!)

Just got some painted proto pics in from Marvel Comics artist Salvador Larroca I thought I'd share. Silent Surfer still has a Tom at his place to do too. Salvador is also available for commission.

It always amazes me how different the same head can look by two different painters. Surfer did an amazing job too. Just look at his eyes! I love them both!!!

Re: WGP's CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO THREAD (open interest list!)

Alright, since everyone is having fun in the NU-Who thread with shout out interest lists, lets do a mass call out for CLASSIC WHO as well. I find these tend to be more difficult as there is so much history to choose from. There are for head sculpts only, no costumes, and whoever reached 16 interested will be made.

Just a few helpful tips for anyone new here. 1) Please visit the first page for info and pics for on who is currently already in the works.

Upcoming we have:

1)Sarah Jane (due to be cast this week with luck! :impatient: )
2)K-9 (being sanded by Sean in the UK)
3)Romana 2- head was tweaked some more after not being happy with first print.
4)Ainley Master- being sculpted now. Have had two revisions so far

and though this was unnannounced, we have a new "Smiling" Troughton head going to the printers in a week. Since we actually have costumes available for him, we ally want to push him.

NEW SMILING TROUGHTON HEAD COMING SPRING 2013

1)sonic screwdriver and special hand to hold it
2)his recorder
3)open 500 year diary
4)closed 500 year diary
5)"Wheel in Space" Cybermat
6)Yeti controller figurine
7)Yeti sphere
8)Unit ID(?)

Re: WGP's CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO THREAD (open interest list!)

Where would I start with classics Doctor Who? I would love to see some heads of Doctors who haven't been done as much. My wish would be to have a different Doctor, companion, and monster every couple of months. My wish list as such is following.
1.1st Doctor, Ian Chesterton, Richard the Lionheart(from The Crusades/not a monster but darn cool/it was Julian Glover from James Bond,Star Wars and Scaroth from 4th Doctor era
2. 2nd Doctor(already wip, can't wait), Victoria Waterfield, the different variations of the Cybermen(already wip for Invasion Cybermen ,but I would love to get the 10th Planet Cybermen, Tomb Cybermen, Wheel in Space with all chest pieces, hoses, etc)
3. 3rd Doctor, Jo Grant/ I also have to throw in a different sculpt of the Brig with no hat,a Draconian from the Frontier in Space(Google that one-on-one awesome profile)
4. 4th Doctor(I'm really happy with the WGP headsculpts and with a little tweaking it could work for any season),Romana 1(how cool would that be beside WGP's awesome looking Romans 2 wip, Pirate Captain from the Pirate Planet of the Key to Time season

Re: WGP's CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO THREAD (open interest list!)

5. 5th Doctor(this would be most cool because I've only seen one custom), Teghan, Anthony Ainley Master
6. 6th Doctor(another really cool custom rarely seen), Peri, the Valyard
7. 7th Doctor, Ace(long overdue in any size/only one figure in Dapol)Haemevore from the Curse of Fenric
8. 8th Doctor, Grace Holloway, and Eric Roberts as the Master

Just my options of some great looking figures that could be made from the classic series.

Thank you for the interest list. Ideally, I like to theme things out, so if we got the interest for any Doctor, ideally I'd want to push at the same time to produce a companion and maybe a monster too. Of course right now this interest list is for heads only, so that rules most monsters out.

Balancing these projects are a little tricky because our current Who offerings are sculpted and have been sculpted for awhile, which is why we are planning the next set of things to sculpt. Our problems with the heads come after the sculpting- with printing, casting, etc. Our horrific delays last year in casting all came about because we were trying to REDUCE the length of time between printing and casting and we got destroyed with the people we tried to move to. It rally shouldn't take more than three months from sculpt to finished cast ever.

I don't want to go into it again, but basically just wanted to explain why on the sculpting end we are ready to make the next set of characters, even as we wait for other projects to wrap up.

A few other things I want to throw out-

ROMANA

d4-5j-112_zps35d8d036.jpg

I have been talking with the seamstress who is nearly done with the Romana "DESTINY OF THE DALEKS" proto costume. The detail, as you have seen, is amazing. It will likely be $350 and be a one time thing, offered only this once so after this run there will be no more runs. Heads can be bought separate from the costumes. Since people have asked, we can work out payment plans so people can afford to get it because it is gorgeous. As we get closer to making an "official" announcement we will show pics and ask for deposits from whomever wants in. I can't give a solid ETA on this but just wanted to give people time to prepare.

SARAH JANE "HAND OF FEAR" COSTUME

d4-4n-c201_zps3b6f7382.jpg

I was given an ETA for first pics of the proto by the end of this month. Fingers crossed. There may need to be revisions afterwards.

LEELA 2013

d4-4r-011_zpsbe578b1d.jpg

Leela will be sculpted this year. She will be sculpted bald to wear a wig regardless of if we can get a tailor to produce a costume for her or not because she was commissioned by a fan for us to make her. (I recommend this for any character you really want- laugh).

However, I am in talks with someone amazing to make her costume, so if we're lucky this will pull through, though because of how time consuming the costume is I was told if they can they may not be able to make many. More news as this develops. No clue if we will make accessories for her like a Tesh Gun. We already have crossbow arrows made for Daryls Crossbow from Walking Dead for her belt pouch to hold. I also don't know if there is really a need to sculpt her a knife.
There is no real chance of us making her crossbow however. It would be pretty expensive to make and I think cool existing alternatives can still be found online.

CYBERMEN

d4-4d-007_zps8891c1ff.jpg

WGP wants to put out "REVENGE OF THE CYBERMEN" Cybermen this year. Why not the long advertised INVASION versions? Specifically because Big Chief is offering their Tom Baker figure and it would be smarter to release the REVENGE Cybermen to tie-in with that. We would sell more. Any Cybermen kit we do will be very expensive to print so we need to make sure it sells well enough to cover costs and so we can get paid back.

The costumes themselves are simple enough designs to produce. Once we are ready to figure out a complete price and make an announcement we will take deposits which will go towards printing, similar to the model we have used for David the Vampire (Lost Boys) and Daryl's Crossbow from Walking Dead.

Right now there are plans for a regular Revenge Cyberman kit
which will have a removable red SFX head-gun fire-blast, lifter boots to make him taller, a set of reaching hands and maybe a clear blue "electrocuting" hand.

BATTLE-DAMAGED CYBERMAN CONCEPT DESIGN

DAMAGED1_zpsc6f88ee4.jpg

This early on there are also plans for a separate alternate "battle damaged" deluxe head which will have 2 removable face-plates- damaged (a half face plate) and normal one (undamaged), with an exposed "undead" zombie face beneath which can be revealed. He will also also come with regular and damaged handlebars).

Depending on interest we could do an accessory set with Cyberbombs and Cybermats. This would happen later this year. Taking interest and thoughts on this now.

How could you have this and not want a Harry Sullivan? (laugh)
