Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

To my opinion the sits a little to low. Already paid for mine at the beginning, but i still like to say thanks for all the hard work in trying to get us a perfect indy sculpt. We'll get there. Just keep up the good work and take the feedback in account.

As for roger bee. You act like you're the only here getting a head. If you didn't pay yet, then let me quote henry jones: 'what are complaining about?' Some of us already invested money in these. You just shout from the sideline.

Best,

Robert

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Actually, I act like someone that cares about the product and wants everyone to get the head that they want.

We couldn't do anything about the HT or SSC Indy, but when we have a chance to get what we really want, is standing by and saying nothing the right tactic!?

I know now I didn't put it in quite the right way, but, I can't just say "That's AWESOME!!" now and then complain later when I didn't get what I paid for like others might.

We're all passionate about getting this right, it's just HOW you say things that can make the difference.

It continues to surprises me that "tact" is such a foreign concept to some people.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Right... some updates and news.... I have been experimenting with the best way of casting the Indy parts and despite spending £600 on a vacuum camber and pump its still driving me nuts... well more nuts.

I have even built a new workspace to help get my head around it all.... I have also started working on the dremelled muscular body head... I have modified the sculpt to help fit over the neck better and I will do another head and then recast that and it will be the final mould and we can start to cast the final heads... The hat... chuff me thats a different story... the brim is so uber thin and I am getting a poor cast rate which is a wee bit gutting....

As soon as I get a finished final cast I will get it to Pete to paint... can not wait to see that!!!!

on the up side the Bishop heads are coming out a treat so far.....

Ohhhh yeaaaahhhh :panic::panic:

Those bishops look beautiful to i hope some people want them painted by me

On another note i am currently recovering from tonsillitis so need to reast but judging by the above comments its time for another photo shoot :lol

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Yeah, it looks great in the above pictures, but from my understanding the sculpt was modified at the neck since the ones you have and sits lower in Dorgmal's pictures. Is that right? If so, I would just go back to the original sculpt.

I'm sure everything will be set soon. Finally, a great Indy sculpt. Can't wait to get these!

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Yep, looks great in these pics :)
Thx Pete! Hope this is what we're gonna get.

Yeah, I know,

I overreacted and feel a d*^k now. Indy was my first major project, back before I discovered forums. With each advance, each new head or piece of gear, I'd add it and feel I was getting closer to my dream Indy. It's the one project I've never stopped working on and never stopped loving it when I was doing it.

After the HT Indy, to find that another hope of getting the head I'd always wanted was looking like it was heading south I leapt in with both feet, and they ended up in my mouth!

I didn't mean any offense and if I did offend anyone then I'm really sorry.

If this below is what we end up with then I'm sure we'll all be happy campers:

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Don’t worry Rogerbee we are passionate about these projects you just need to express yourself differently in the future.

And yes the final product will look just like that as long as you get ME to paint it :lecture ………….sorry shameless plug :monkey3 :rotfl

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

But again, unless I'm missing something, I'm not sure the issue is all that significant, considering that the neck needs to have a transplanted neck adapter inserted anyway. You just pad the cavity a bit more to your liking before sticking it in, and it should fit on the neck in the way you like best. The sculpt itself isn't affected by this, it is just how deep the hole in the bottom of the neck is drilled, right?

Pretty much yeah.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

In Rogerbees defense, tact has never been this forums strong suit.
