Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Great news and heads!
Will pay next week for both Indy and Bishop.
Thanks for your work, guys!

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Personally I think it looks great! I'll be sending money within the next couple days. I see no reason to wait. What other choices do we have, the SS sculpt? The HT? As far as I'm concerned this looks the best from all the ones I've seen. It'll look snazzy with the proper paints too. :rock Can't wait!

As far as the whole neck thing, easy fix.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Ok, I take back my word about the head being too small. I was checking out the HT head and it looks even smaller!!!

I still think the hat is too tall though.

Help me decide guys, I came across an DX5 Indy with a paint chip on the nose. I was told that a massive discount of around 60 to 70USD might be given due to that.

Should I just get damaged set and replaced the head with the WGP one? Or should I just get the parts bit by bit on ebay? Which will be the cheap route?

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

What is the plan in regards to connecting this head to the HT body?

I see all this debate about drilling the head out and all that, but the DX Indy head has the ball joint as a part of the head. So, do I have to crack open a TT neck to get the barbell out and hot glue the barbell into the head and plug it into the TTM19 neck??

I would. I think it's always better to buy the box set than to kitbash. Depending on the price of the box set of course and what parts you really want.

I plan on gluing a magnet in the neck and another in the head. Done. I have done this several times and works great.

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

Don’t worry Rogerbee we are passionate about these projects you just need to express yourself differently in the future.

And yes the final product will look just like that as long as you get ME to paint it :lecture ………….sorry shameless plug :monkey3 :rotfl

I'm sure your finished Indy will look amazing. And you are right, I've stuck my feet in my mouth that many times I'm surprised I have any toes left!

Indy will pretty much be my last hurrah, my final 21 gun salute to the current 1/6th industry. Fortunately (or sometimes, as we've seen recently, unfortunately) talk is cheap, so I will remain active on the forums, and may contribute the odd bash or two from what I still have in my parts bin. But, as far as paying serious money for for high end 1/6 products, those days will soon be over. I just can't keep it up anymore.

I agree, even ebay prices aren't normal anyone. Kinda takes the fun out of collecting. Next to that there is too much coming out. Can't keep up anymore, plus i got bills to pay :). I'll just get my last orders and i'll sit everything out until there is something i reaallyyy want like indy stuff :)

Best,

Robert

Re: WGP's RAIDERS Jones- at casters now!

I like this head. Where does this one come from? Looks different than the one Dormal is showing.

Yeah. Looks like one is cast in flesh color and the other is white with a rough flesh colored paint job.

Robbie is right its the exact same sculpt i have just given it a couple of coats of transparent paint so it matches the body.
