I finished Hunger Games trilogy a week ago or so. I enjoyed each book as I read them. As I reflect on the whole series I feel very ho-hum about it. The first book was good. I felt that the author was on the verge of writing a great series but the outcome was simply OK. Just my opinion of coarse.

I am now back reading A Clash of Kings.

Just a few chapters in

I just started reading The Hunger Games. I have only read 2 chapters and it was hard for me to put it down to make a phone call. Still currently on hold so thought I would post. :D

After getting about 75% done with The Road on my Kindle, I just couldn't get through another page. =(

Half-way through The Hunger Games right now and really impressed with it so far. Thanks to those that pushed me to read it. :rock

I have a (very annoying) colleague at work who keeps raving about this book and the upcoming movie, to the point where I get sick of just hearing the name.

It sucks, I like to give this whole thing a fair chance, but just the fact that this woman can't seem to shut up about it and pretty much calls the film already her favourite film ever, pisses me of and is giving me somewhat of an aversion to this whole franchise... :slap

Anyway, to get back on topic; I'm currently reading A Storm of Swords of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Just finished reading Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. Its about running,it goes over a great many topics along the way. GREAT BOOK!! very inspiring- makes me want get back into Running!

Give it a chance and judge for yourself based on yourself.

I'm actually thinking of starting to read some of the John Carter of Mars books soon. I'm definitely interested in these after seeing the film. I looked up A Princess of Mars and it's dirt cheap, so I'll probably pick that up soon, see how I like it! :)
If I do I'll definitely continue to read those!

the road is depressing as ____! :lecture

Honestly, it bored me. I wanted to like it so much but the way it was written was horrible IMO. Every single little detail was written about their day and nothing happened.

I got so far in I was forcing myself to finish to find out what happens, but I couldn't take it and I never give up on a book once I start.
