What film would you reboot?

Annie Hall, starring Seth Rogan and Melissa McCarthy. Paul Simon role played by that annoying English guy.

Seriously though, Man of Steel and Transformers. Also, Fantastic Four.

I could almost see Keanu pulling off that role.

A "The Shadow" film where The Shadow doesn't run around for 95% of the film without his Shadow outfit and a closer to the book retelling of Christine.

You're right. I love the movie, but it needed more 'shadow'. Baldwin looked great in the full outfit.

Scarface. As much as people rave about the Pacino movie ... it's really dated, and that kills it for me. The concept could make for a badass movie. But, that 80's music montage nightmare isn't it.

Agreed on The Shadow. Or maybe The Spirit. And, The Lone Ranger. It wasn't as terrible as everybody said. But, it could've been a LOT better. The Ranger ought to a Batman-type badass ... not a bumbling fool.

Tomb Raider. Just scrap it and start from the beginning. With an actress that sucks less. And a story that sucks less. Maybe start with the concept from the new games.

I'm sure I'll think of something else.

I skipped Annie Hall my entire life in part out of resentment for it beating Star Wars for Best Picture. I should probably get around to watching it. :lol

I agree Flash Gordon would be a great candidate. But I would want them to take it a little more seriously. Not Batman/Superman serious, but I can see them making it "fun" and aimed at kids like the Mummy movies. Just no silly goofy kid humor, please.

And I would vote for Dune to be remade, but I would want them to use the exact same design and art direction as in Lynch's 1984 movie for everything. Same sets, same costumes, same props, same vehicles, etc. Even the Wierding module, which I think was a good interpretation of doing the Wierding Way in the book. I LOVE the world that Lynch created and it's such a shame that it was a flop and we weren't able to get any sequels or anything else from those worlds.

Meh, awards don't matter. SW beat Annie Hall where it mattered, making money.

The Pacino Scarface was itself a remake of a 1930s film.

If you like Woody Allen, you'll love it. If you don't, you'll probably hate it. Definitely one of his best, from his creative peak, though I think Manhattan is a better film.

I'd like to see a Stormriders reboot. While the old 1998 film was fine at its time, the writers chose to omit many key characters from its origin story just to fit in the 100 minute time length. The sequel that came out in 2009 just pissed me off. Felt like they just explained the development in a single paragraph and showed us the rest of it. They might as well just reboot the damned thing!

Spawn would be a great franchise if they actually did it right. Won't happen until after Todd goes bye bye.

I agree on Spawn and The Green Lantern.

I would expect a reboot of TGL at some point with all the DC movies coming out in the near future.
