I doubt that they would make a big deal about that kind of thing, so I wouldn't expect a mention. At most, you'll see an updated picture of the face sculpt at some point. But anyway, I'm assuming that Andy Bergholtz has some kind of inside knowledge about this, since he seemed pretty confident about it.

Hot Toys has updated Dallas' status to in-stock. We should see some pics in a few days. It may take awhile cause these have not been selling well in Asia.

Thats a pity.I received the Joker from ABC Express this morning,if i d known i would ve told them to double it up with Captain Dallas.A few extra days would nt have made any difference.
Im saddened and surprised to read these have nt been selling well in Asia.

Sad but not surprised. The Alien crew don't have the 'hardware' appeal of the Aliens or Predator casts... they're just space truckers (which is one of the reasons why the film was so groundbreaking).

Any word on whether the situation is the same in the US and Europe?

=GordonGekko;1094394]He might be anti gun for all we know. The Kane figure does have some kind of laser pistol attached to his hip.

I doubt it.

IIRC, Sigourney Weaver is anti gun too, which might explain why Aliens was written in such a way where Ripley is reluctant with firearms except to protect Newt. And why Alien 3 is devoid of firearms until the last 3 minutes of the film.

Weaver is just a good person. All the work she has done for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and being a great actress ofcourse.

It's not like firarms do much good in the real world.

Unfortunately the Alien film didn't have much in the way of bankable figure source material. A Kane with a chestburster ripping out of him would seem like the only real headline grabber from that film. I'd say Predator 2 came real close to some degree on the human side. (Although a fully kitted out tactical Danny Glover figure might actually be an interesting choice)

Yeah but i always thought there were plenty of Alien fans around. If i were an Alien fan, i would be all over these figures. I'm not an Alien fan though.

Did the Aliens marines sell well? Because that would mean the P1 crew isn't in jeopardy.

Hmmm... looks like the 'stache is sculpted on there, maybe not as easy a fix as previous figures.

Well that certainly seals the deal on how I am going to display this figure! Facehuggered up!

I only hope we can have Sigourney and Veronicas likenesses for the next two spacesuit releases. (crosses fingers)

:D

Agreed about the facehugger sculpt. It's a real shame; it's clearly a different sculpt than what was shown on the preview photos and I cannot see a John Hurt likeness there at all even if it was repainted with mustache removed.

Looks like another Ada Chan commission... maybe she can resculpt the face only, and re-use the headcover.

WHAT THE ^^^^!!!!:lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl Who the hell is that!!
Most idiotic idea ever? A generic headsculpt with some kind of John Hurt features ok. But this Joe blow???????? This is CRAZY. A moustache WHAT THE ^^^^.

They better not do this crap with the original predator crew!!

That sucks. Oh well. Never planned to pose him with the reg head anyway.

It does look like the stache is sculpted. It would require shaving it down with an exacto blade or sandpaper. Then of course a repaint. Still, even without the stache, he doesn't look like Hurt anyway, so you might not want to waste your time.

Someone here is gonna make a killing offering a Kane/Hurt sculpt! :)
