The Backyardigans.
I guess it just depends. I like older classic stuff of course, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Black Flag, Clash, etc., modern kinda more mainsteam bands like Social D, NOFX and others like Face to Face, Hot Water Music... then there's all the bands that I used to love but listened to them too much like Op Ivy or No Use or Lagwagon... Just sooo damn many, Mags. Who do you like?
Of the ones you mentioned I like No Use For a Name, Face to Face, and NOFX. To that list I would add Pennywise, Bad Religion, and Green Day (esp. Kerplunk... yes it's punk... and no I'm not ashamed.)
The only older band I really got into was Minor Threat.
Then there is some Hardcore stuff like Sick Of It All.
Then I got into Korn and Deftones which was the gateway back into metal (as a teenager I loved Metallica). Now I tend to prefer Metal, although every once in a while I gotta go back to some puck rock!
I used to be in a punk rock band. Someday If I figure out how to make videos and post them on youtube I'll post some of our old songs.
We did covers of Seven Seconds, Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Fugazi, Green Day and others. But we played mostly original stuff similar to Bad Religion or Pennywise.
NOOOO!!!! My son watched that show quite a bit for a few months. It's a great little show for kids but that song can get a little annoying after awhile.
Right now he's really into UP. I noticed I was humming the song from it earlier today at work.
Sometimes I'm really glad I don't have kids!
I'm not usually in the mood for traditional blue grass, but "newgrass" or "space grass" I really enjoy. Stuff like the earlier work from Bela Fleck, Tony Rice, David Grisman, and even Ricky Skaggs. Bluegrass/jazz hybrid music is some of my very favorite. Alison Krauss has also produced some of the most beautifully sung and smoothly played albums of the 80s/90s, in my opinion.
Yeah, I've definitely listened to all those bands too.
Hell, I listened to Green Day for almost 20 years now. I bought Kerplunk after one of their shows at Gilman when I was in high school. I remember how crazy it was to see them on MTV 3 or 4 years later. I used to love the teen heartbreak songs that were on the pre-Dookie albums. Not that I don't still like them but there was a time when I really related to their music. A couple of chicks I would hang with in high school just loved them and that's how I got turned on to their music at that time (before they were big! ) I had a huge crush on one of the girls, Michelle, and we'd mess around while the other, Jessica, would drive the three of us to shows and smoke us out. Good memories.
