What LOTR PF should i get/hold out for?

i was thinking maybe staff above head like horizontally..if they had to do another…u gotta figure from a business position that regardless of previous releases gandalf would still sell no?

Gandalf the Grey Exclusive and Sauron are to me the must haves on that list.

I don't think it would sell that well, everyone who wants one has plenty to choose from, GTG does not go for much over retail and GTW goes for less than retail.

If anything I wish they'd redo Gandalf the White. While I don't think the current GTW PF is that bad, it also could be a whole lot better.

As much as I would like that I don't want the PFs ending up like hot toys where they are redone every few years and you have to buy the newest one.

Yeah, it's just the head sculpt that lets it down IMHO.

I have plans to do a custom job like this, one day.

If only I could get them at the right price.

I've got Sauron he's my only piece so far, if I had to choose one other it would either be GTG or Gollum both scream LOTR, I've a chance of a DROM but the sheer size I maybe unable to display him.

Darn...I had the bust up for about 100 bucks! Only thing the bust would need is a repaint.

Same problem as GTW and Frodo, nice, but poor headsculpt.

Get Gandalf then wait for Saruman. They'll go great together. I now patiently wait for Weta to make a new 1/6 Saruman to pair with their recent Gandalf.

I don't have much of a problem with the head sculpt but the two pieces of felt used as his apron are pretty cheap/crappy looking.

what u guys think of the 2 available pieces direct from SS: sauron or dark rider? OR hold out for whatever they release with the hobbit line (although lord knows that probably (with the exception of saruman) get here before the xmas AFTER the last flick)

I'd get Sauron. That is SS best solo LOTR piece ever and IMO SS best solo piece ever.

Sauron is simply Amazing. You won't regret it.
