You are one distorted individual. That first paragraph is the biggest load I've read in a long time. Completely eliminating free-will from your worldview is uniquely stupid.

We achieved justice. Justice is always preferable to injustice. The world is a better place when punishments fit the crime -- and when people like this are removed from it.

He apparently shot a 3-month old baby at point blank range. An uncomfortable life in a jail cell with three squares a day is too good. He deserves death. No less is acceptable.

Not really, but at least I won't go down to their level of insanity.

Just punishment is not "insanity". He shot a 3-month-old baby at point blank range ... and a dozen or more other people. Calling anything short of the highest punishment "just" would be truly delusional.

How can a State that has the death penalty justify giving this guy a lesser sentence? How can that be called 'justice'? Why does he deserve leniency?

If he chose to live rather than shoot himself I submit that maybe he doesn't want to die - in which case killing him would be apt punishment. Not necessarily the case that he doesn't want to die but I'm just throwing that out there.

I'd don't buy the "death is too easy" malarky. If you really believed death was easier, you'd be making human rights arguments about prison, not death. If death was preferable to prison ... then it would be cruel and unusual to imprison somebody for 25-years instead of just killing them.

The "death is too easy" tripe is clever rhetoric from the anti-death-penalty brigade ... not something that anyone actually believes. Death is the worst we've got. Give it to him.

I don't think criminals of this sort deserves rights. If you take one life, you've lost the right to your own life. That's my philosophy. But that doesn't mean you should kill the murderer.

First someone will have to kill him. Who is this executioner? Why would he bring himself down to the murderers level of killing? We are not murderers therefore we shouldn't kill, only in situations where it might help. Say if someone in the cinema had a gun, it would be justifiable for him to shot the murderer to stop more murders.

But if you execute the murderer after the shootings then he won't have to suffer. When you are dead, you are gone. There is no thought, awareness or whatever and I don't believe in fairy tales about heaven and hell. So I'd rather we keep the murderer alive living an awful life in prison where hopefully he can come to realize what he did was wrong. If you kill him, he might never do so and he won't have to do all of that hard work in prison and live that ____ty life there.

Oh well, it will be interesting to see what punishment he gets. As you said earlier they have the death penalty in that state right? So I think he will get it. I won't cry but it won't solve anything and that won't give peace or justice to the ones who were killed.
