no, remember like 2 years ago this forum was still having medicom vs sideshow wars? if medicom actually made something people cared about or could afford I recon we'd still be having those arguments...but what have they done lately except some insanely overpriced SW figures.

I got their Indy a couple months back. Nice figure for $70.

What happened to Medicom is the same thing that happened to Sideshow. They stood still while the rest of the industry moved forward.

They're still making anime based figures I think. Their Kaneda and Bike combo from Akira is near the top of my most-anticipated-of-2010 list.

Out of the few people that liked Medicom, most can't afford them anymore. :lol

I think the big thing is they've gotten to pricey for their more stylistic look with the licensed stuff. When Medicom Star Wars, for example, was in it's prime, HT was still young and not turning out the quality they are today, Sideshow's stuff was lesser compared to today and also lacking armored figures which Sideshow is now turning out pretty regularly. With the bars HT, Enterbay and now even DID are setting for portraiture and realism with figures, Medicom's more stylized apperance just doesn't appeal to a lot of people now. A couple years ago, it didn't look all that much different from Sideshow and HT stuff, but as the rest of the 1/6 market gets more and more realistic, the contrast against Medicom grows and the people that are out for very realistic looking figures are going to find less and less satisfaction with Medicom figures, and with their prices going up and up, it just becomes even more of a turnoff.
