See, that's not my experience at all Karamazov. All of the ones I have feel sturdy and anything but cheap. Especially the amazing Boba Fett:

And I know it's considered small, but it's still the best Vader going:

Yea, i paid $100 for my Rambo III and $110 for M65 Jacket Rambo from Toys2 awhile ago, quite awhile before those figures came though..i bought Medicom Luke for i think $120 mint same with the Stormtrooper, Vader was $185-90 or something near that.I will only pick up select future releases of Medicom stuff if the price is around a hundred dollars clearance sale or something.

I bought my Rambo III for $81 on Ebay and my M65 for $85 from Toys2. Those are 2 of the best deals i've ever encountered I think. I can say the best ever Medicom figures i've ever owned was the 501 Clone and (AOC) Troopers. That was back in the day when I had a few SW pieces ....... they did a bang up job on them. The scale was perfect.

I've thought for a long time that Medicom is more concerned with maintaining a consistency in their lines rather than matching what other companies are doing.

You can see improvement in likenesses and other aspects of their figures if you compare... but at the same time there are never quantum leaps in quality and a piece from 1995 will still fit in well with a piece from 2009. I think that is a real strength if you are a Medicom collector; but if you are not then fitting their figures into a collection can be difficult.

I know I used to have 15-20 Medicom figures in my collection, but right now I've only got 5 or so on display for that very reason.

That was USD or CAN?.

I have heard others say that, but I'm just going on my own experiences. I have had comic Punisher, movie Spidey, and comic Spidey (the one that crumbled to pieces), and none of them felt particularly durable to me. Certainly not in relation to Hot Toys or Sideshow. But admittedly, my sample size is pretty small.

Likewise. I have to confess, I've no experience at all of the figures you mention.

I guess it varies with all companies though. Some Hot Toys figures may well be durable, but my Aliens Warrior sure wasn't! :monkey2

Medicom made the choice it seems to not even try keeping up with ht and ss. They have some nice figures like jango and boba but IMO anyways the rest of their sw stuff isn't in the same zip code as ss stuff. Their figures in general aren't even close to anything ht has put out. I've always thought mediums figures felt fragile compared to anything I bought from ss or ht. Not that their bad figures but not always what they could be either.

I haven't had any QC issues with Medicom figures... but the bodies do seem to be of lighter weight material which can be concerning. Although again with the Anime figures I've had they've actually seemed more sturdy for some reason than the standard body figures.

I agree. I have 9 Marvel comic and 7 SW RAH's. Carnage and Cylcops figures hip broke while Venom has issues with both set of hands. I haven't had issues with SW but the Marvel line-up (one's still displayed) I rarely move for fear of breakage.

It does seem like the first series of Comic figures (at least Venom and Spider-Man) had a number of issues with breakage. Never heard much about issues with Wolverine or the later releases.

Why doesn't Medicom make any RAH 12" female figures? I think they could make a pretty neat stylised Leia and some Marvel chicks.

Those are the two Medis that I do have and for that reason I left them in the box :lol But I still think Medi has got the edge in "Anime" figures. If you look at their evangellon figures like Rei and Asuka, they look excellent. I'm picking up the Kaneda and his bike this year and I think those are top notch as well. The main problem as many ppl have stated is the price of the figures and the quality of some of their figures compared to other companies.

I actually do prefer the expression on the original Kaneda... but the new one is superior in every other way. Still not worth the scratch, especially the combined bike and figure price to me. But certainly very impressive 1/6 items.
