Just wondering... When I finally saw this, I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. I saw it again this weekend (I watched all of the Terminators recently in anticipation of Salvation), and still liked it quite a bit! Do people hate this movie? If so, has it grown on anyone?

I hated (and still do) the whiny guy they chose for Connor and the girls. Both horrible miscast in my opinion. The TX was ok.
Some of the dialog was horrendous, and Arnie's scene while he's driving the van (the whole scene where he takes that thing out of his chest, throws it and explodes) with Connor at his side and the girl in the back is really, really awful.

i thought it was a good story. i like the movie overall i just think the movie itself wasn't as masterfully crafted as the James Cameron ones. To me its like say you illustrate a story with Michelangelo ,and then you illustrate the same story with some average artist. Even though its the same story the impact wont be as great as if it had been done by a great master. T3 has some of the best hard hitting action scenes of all time though i will give it that.

The movie sucked balls, period. The music sucked, the acting was lousy and the overall Terminator atmosphere was absent! This film had NO Terminator feel from start to end, it imo is what parts 3-whatever were to the Halloween franchise.

Terminator Salvation will pick up where T2 left off, hopefully we can all forget T3 was made.

Just my 2 cents.

I think that's pretty much how I feel. The chase with the big crane truck is particularly well done.

I like it. Its entertaining. Nothing more.

Has a great ending though. Sarah Conner Chronicals is a much better sequal IMO.

I actually enjoyed it and I hear both sides of people who hated it and people who liked it, but what else could you expect from part 3? Part 1 was the best, and part 2 was an epic version of part 1. Very difficult to top part 2. But there is so much they could add to the story after part 2 so I was not expecting much there anyways. The action was great and I love how it ended. To be honest, I was upset that at the end of part 2 when they try to destroy all evidence so they can stop the future, but when they showed that Judgemet Day was inevitable at the end of part 3, I felt that is where the story should go.IMO

I feel the only really good part is the end when you see how John Conner becomes leader of the resistance. Which I really love. The rest of it is too Hollywood. Talk to the hand jokes in a Terminator film, come on. Plus the same recycled story sending two Terminators back in time.

fanboys will hate it no matter what because it isn't cameron.
i liked it because it isn't cameron.

Part 3 dont exist for me, nor the sarah connor chronicles....Theres T1, T2 and then there will be Terminator Salvation.

what i expected from part 3 was sarah connor. she is the central character of the franchise. not arnold and not john connor. the first 2 films were centered around the development of her character and then the third film just eliminates her???

SCC rocks hard. I like the characters in that show more so then I do in the movies. You get to know them all way better then in the movies.

It was ok...the T-X was pretty hot, and Ahnuld is always a bonus...

But I guess it's just time filler till Terminator Salvation comes out...
