You like people who take the whole credit for what they only halfway did? :huh

Nothing but love for Stan Lee. He worked for one company for the last 70 years and has reaped the benefits of not jumping company to company for the fastest buck of the moment and hes had the opportunities. Hes a loyalist and at the end of the day its not like he owns one thing whether he claims he invented the internet and the moon.

Possible Ant-Man news...actually just me purely speculating.

I'll start off by saying, I know nothing about the history and origins of Ant-Man, and this is merely me putting 1+1 together.

The other day Dwayne Johnson tweeted this as a reply:

On it's own, wishful thinking as I think The Rock is a fantastic action star. It'd be awesome in my opinion to see him as a superhero one day.

Then today I saw this tweet from Ant-Man Director/Writer/Producer Edgar Wright:

Could some breaking news be on the horizon, or am I just putting too much thought into it?

Johnson is a goddamn adult. SPELL YOUR ____ING WORDS. I hate when people use "U" or "R".

But much love to that guy. :D

Ive no intention of seeing The Rock as a super hero because no matter what character he plays he will always be seen as The Rock. It would take away from the Super Hero when the guy playing him is a real larger than life character and probably to the point his real life persona dwarfs who he will be playing.

But if it means a HT Dwayne Johnson then go for it.

Nicholson's Joker disagrees 100%. :lol

I have an amazing time taking Dwayne Johnson seriously as supergenius scientist Hank Pym or even Scott Lang or Eric O' Grady, especially O' Grady who uses the suit to try and seduce women and be cooler than he was as a low level SHIELD agent.

I was really hoping that once Avengers was done, Marvel Studios would use the same template and use other characters in solo films and build them to a team film.

Avengers started in 2008 and concluded in 2012. It had a beginning and end, the characters built up and met together for a big battle. The End. Avengers 2 is a good idea as it continues their story, but i don't see the point in more solo films when they could be using those film slots for new characters to have their own seperate team.

I was hoping to see street level heroes gets some attention. I get that The Avengers made a **** ton of money, and because of that it means more and more and more to come, they'll introduce some new characters here and there but it'll mostly be the team we already have seen before.

Guardians looks to be the only real new film from Marvel Studios, and that's gonna be just another tie in to enrich Avengers 2

I like The Avengers and their characters and i love how Marvel brought it all together with each character getting solo films and then building to the team-up, it worked brilliantly, but i also like lots of others and it doesn't look like they'll be getting any of that same treatment anytime soon which is a damn shame as they have plenty of great characters to exploit in films not directly tied to what has been done but tied to a new chapter of the continuity exoanding it into a world of different characters.

I think a New Avengers film built up with solo films would be brilliant. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight and other never before on-screen lead characters would be great to see on-film.

People seem to say something like 'i'd love to see ______ character on the big screen with the Avengers' and that may make no sense as it's a completely different level of hero, it seems because they were done first, The Avengers have become the center of everything Marvel Films to which all other characters are to stand next to :cuckoo:

That's a small part of why i like that Marvel don't hold the rights to Spider-Man and X-Men as it means they'll actually get their own films made (Marvel is swamped with Avengers 2 tie-ins) and they'll get their own universe of characters and stories told without them being tie-ins to the Avengers characters.

_________

I think my ideal Marvel movies system would be the same continuity overall but independent films for each group of characters with occasional interaction between them...

Spider-Man would get his universe of characters and have their own films.

X-Men would get their own universe of characters and have their own films.

Avengers would have sequels with their own universe of characters.

Fantastic Four would have their own universe of characters and own films.

Cosmic characters would have their own universe of character and own films.

And then when applicable to the story have Spidey help out the FF, have Beast assist The Avengers, have Iron Fist train Spider-Man some kung Fu, Luke Cage have a beer with Logan and so on

No i liked The Avengers, i was hoping that once it was done they do the same for their huge catalogue of other characters.

They have a world of characters but are just sticking to the same ones so that's lame, when there's so much potential in other characters.

And with so many fantastic characters, i dislike the way people think of them as the one and only good ones out there.

The avengers and the characters tied to them are money makers and fan favorites. They're going to go to that well and that will let them if they come up with something for other characters.

One could argue they made them money makers though. They built up the characters for audiences, got people interested in them and scored big with the final goal.

If they could do that with Avengers they could do it with others ;)

Put in the time and effort with other characters and they'll get as much reward imo.

But you're right because they struck big with The Avengers they'll continue with that until it falters.

It's just a big shame for Marvel fans like me who want to see these other non-avengers characters in all their glory on-screen.

I'd joygasm at the production of a Nova film or an Iron Fist film

:lecture Not sure which other team can be done well that hasn't been given a chance already (at least none that fans would be dying to see, give me a list). Xmen is still going, Fantastic Four has been done, and I guess there will be a reboot thought I'm not sure I really care yet.

Maybe give us a West Coast Avengers spinoff?

Thing is there are only so many characters that will be money makers. The Avengers and those characters are money makers and all have good stories going. They're not gonna stop those to make an iron fist movie. You have to be realistic.
