No one cares about them properties = Probably make none. :lol

You're probably right Josh. I enjoyed the Avengers and the lead-ups, but they are far from my favourite characters.
When i started reading Marvel again it was just as the Avengers disassembled, so to me The Avengers was a usually a mesh of characters thrown together into a team for whatever event was going on at the time.

X-Men and Spider-Man were always constants which is why i loved them, and i'd get in and out of solo books like Punisher, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, New Avengers and the entire cosmic universe of books too.

And none of them are getting films (Except GotG, which i'm dubious about), which is a flat out bummer when their is so much potential to be utilised.

You all forget that alot of Marvel's success come from ensnaring those unfamiliar with the characters into following the films, they drew people in with The Avengers characters, they could do the same and make it successful with others too, perhaps not as much but they could do it and do it well enough to warrant doing them.

So yeah i'm not really overly excited about Avengers 2.0 and their lead ups as i don't hold much personal affection and would rather see brand new heroes on screen :chase

I'm the opposite. I can't wait as a comic book fan to make round the round two trip leading into the avengers 2.

Ive no intention of seeing The Rock as a super hero because no matter what character he plays he will always be seen as The Rock. It would take away from the Super Hero when the guy playing him is a real larger than life character and probably to the point his real life persona dwarfs who he will be playing.

But if it means a HT Dwayne Johnson then go for it.

Hmm? Perhaps that's why his films are just moderate hits and not huge global successes? He definitely has the build and look to be a superhero, but his own "known" personal charisma may his biggest enemy. :dunno

I would like to see;

Hulk Movie (to tie in with the Avengers)

Then;

Punisher Movie
Daredevil Movie
Spider-Man Movie
All 3 tied into a Marvel Knights Movie

I was really hoping that once Avengers was done, Marvel Studios would use the same template and use other characters in solo films and build them to a team film.

Avengers started in 2008 and concluded in 2012. It had a beginning and end, the characters built up and met together for a big battle. The End. Avengers 2 is a good idea as it continues their story, but i don't see the point in more solo films when they could be using those film slots for new characters to have their own seperate team.

I was hoping to see street level heroes gets some attention. I get that The Avengers made a **** ton of money, and because of that it means more and more and more to come, they'll introduce some new characters here and there but it'll mostly be the team we already have seen before.

Guardians looks to be the only real new film from Marvel Studios, and that's gonna be just another tie in to enrich Avengers 2

I like The Avengers and their characters and i love how Marvel brought it all together with each character getting solo films and then building to the team-up, it worked brilliantly, but i also like lots of others and it doesn't look like they'll be getting any of that same treatment anytime soon which is a damn shame as they have plenty of great characters to exploit in films not directly tied to what has been done but tied to a new chapter of the continuity exoanding it into a world of different characters.

I think a New Avengers film built up with solo films would be brilliant. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight and other never before on-screen lead characters would be great to see on-film.

People seem to say something like 'i'd love to see ______ character on the big screen with the Avengers' and that may make no sense as it's a completely different level of hero, it seems because they were done first, The Avengers have become the center of everything Marvel Films to which all other characters are to stand next to :cuckoo:

That's a small part of why i like that Marvel don't hold the rights to Spider-Man and X-Men as it means they'll actually get their own films made (Marvel is swamped with Avengers 2 tie-ins) and they'll get their own universe of characters and stories told without them being tie-ins to the Avengers characters.

_________

I think my ideal Marvel movies system would be the same continuity overall but independent films for each group of characters with occasional interaction between them...

Spider-Man would get his universe of characters and have their own films.

X-Men would get their own universe of characters and have their own films.

Avengers would have sequels with their own universe of characters.

Fantastic Four would have their own universe of characters and own films.

Cosmic characters would have their own universe of character and own films.

And then when applicable to the story have Spidey help out the FF, have Beast assist The Avengers, have Iron Fist train Spider-Man some kung Fu, Luke Cage have a beer with Logan and so on

What characters do Marvel Studios currently have access to? That's a big factor in deciding what they can and can't do. It seems they're actually quite limited in what they have access now. More Avengers, a la Ant-Man, seems the logical path to take.

They're obviously going the space route with GotG, but they can't do Silver Surfer or Galactus. Did they get Daredevil back? A street level series with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, etc. could work, but those aren't nearly as bankable as Iron Man, Thor, and Cap.

Terry Crews as Luke Cage would be awesome.

If this is true, it would be a very bold choice by Marvel to really embrace their comic storylines.

Intriguing, but tbh I'm not sure this would work. For starters, there would be a lack of live acting and this would deter many people from seeing the film. Secondly, and I read WWH a long while back so I'm probably rusty on the whole thing, but how would they establish the Hulk as being a separate entity than Banner? From MCU canon, it appears they're not separate. I don't know how WWH would stay grounded in reality if things get too much like the comic books, but if they do make changes, how would they go about doing them? :dunno

Kevin Fiege had mentioned that they had an Inhumans movie in the works personally I would have like to see F4 come back to marvel and do something with a Namor tie as well as Inhumans similar to the comics with a more adult theme. But I suppose the same reason that the DC line up for Justice league does not include Aquaman is the probably the same reason Namor will have a hard time getting made. Shooting a movie about a guy you spends a great deal of time in the water would be difficult

Planet Hulk and WWHulk are the perfect follow-up and I hope they follow through. The only problem is these adaptations are 4 or 5 years off. That's a lot of time for Ruffalo to wait.

But - I love the gameplan as spelled out by Latino Review. I can't wait to see Hulk go appsh-t on Thanos in A2.
