I don't know that their plans have changed a ton. While they are more open to a new Hulk movie it sounds like they had zero in development for one until audiences saw the Hulk in Avengers. My guess is the spot after Cap 2 is still going to Ant Man, DR. Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy. Ant Man isn't looking likely with how little movement is happening there. I was understanding that the movie for that last spot is in active development but hasn't been announced yet. It makes more sense for Marvel to plant seeds for new franchises now while they are in such a good spot. They can afford to take some risks right now.

In the prequel comic for Avengers there's a cameo from Dr. Strange - I know I'm in the minority - but that's the character I'd most like to see in a movie.

And thanks to Sideshow for making all those collectibles for Dr. Strange over the years - they've really outdone themselves in the amount and quality of Strange merchandise.

I want:
Hawkeye movie
Beta Ray Bill movie (or at least cameo/second main character)
Planet Hulk & World War Hulk movies

I DON'T want:
Black Widow movie

I'd like to see an Ant Man / Wasp movie that could lead to some Ultron / Vision goodness in an Avengers sequel.

:goodpost:
The Avengers already set into motion what could be a perfect recreation of Bills origins in the comics. Shield was monitoring for spacecraft (which after this invasion and knowing someone was pulling Loki's strings, I am sure they'll be doing) and has Thor check out a potentially suspicious ship. They'll have to muddle the bit of how he gets the hammer, since it doesn't revert in the movies, but they only have to do tweaks to get it to fit perfectly into the story they're establishing.
I'd like to see an Ant Man / Wasp movie that could lead to some Ultron / Vision goodness in an Avengers sequel.

I would love to see Ultron on the big screen, :yess:

First and foremost I'd like to see the Fantastic Four and Daredevil get movies that are as good as the best Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers movies.

Thor is my favorite Marvel character and I'm hoping Surtur will be the villain for the sequel, and I'd love to see Beta Ray Bill in it.

Don't know if this had been mentioned yet, but on Jay Leno the other day, when asked if it's hard to move around in the Iron man suit, Robert Downey Jr. said that it has been in the past films, but this time they have a really flexible iron man suit for Iron man 3.

I guess that can be interpreted in different ways, but I immediate think of the Bleeding Edge armor.

That's on the Tonight Show May 3rd, around 27:00 in.

In the Art of Avengers book K. Fiege mentions the future of Marvel / Avengers. Hints at martial arts, magic and cosmic (Nova) adventures which I gather could be Iron Fist, Dr Strange and Nova?

It should be to get X-Men and Fantastic Four back from FOX even if it meant co-producing the next flicks. It could actually serve both studios' interests and unify the Marvel U on the big screen. While First Class was good the whole retro setting kind of paints you in a corner (I hear the next will be set in the 70s). Plus Singer doesn't want anyone messing with his canon. Fantastic Four is already being rebooted but who knows what direction that will go, but there is an opportunity to fold that into the Avengers world. Im sure there will be a CGI Thing this time around. Id really like to see x-men rebooted with an all new cast, comic inspired art direction and a strong lineup like Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Angel, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Colossus, Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine. With the right approach and story including Magneto and Sentinels X-men reboot could be a fantastic superhero movie.

They need to give it the same treatment that Spiderman got more edge and less camp. Introduce Namor that would be a nice twist

The latest from Kevin Feige

The salient quote from the Bloomberg interview (via THR) is:

We want to do two films a year. Avengers is our only film this year, but in a week and a half we begin filming Iron Man 3. By the end of the summer we’ll be working on the next Thor film, early next year the next Captain America film. Those are the three we’ve announced so far; we’ve got two beyond that that we haven’t announced yet, but we’re working on.

Here’s the Marvel release schedule as we know it:

May 3rd 2013 – Iron Man 3
November 15th 2013 – Thor 2
April 4th 2014 – Captain America 2
May 16th 2014 – Untitled Marvel Movie #1
That May 16 2014 date is one of two ‘mystery Marvel film’ release dates announced a while back; the first mystery release date was revealed to be for Captain America 2.

That means there is another Marvel film in development that could be The Avengers 2, for 2015, or it could be one of a few other things: Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man, a new Hulk film, or a weirder/more cosmic movie like Doctor Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy. We’ve got a rundown on some of Marvel’s future here, and we’ll have another big discussion coming up soon relating to the company’s future slate.

Oh and Fox isn't letting go of anything, last time they were asked they made the joke about putting something in a theater for one day with 10 tickets sold to meet the requirements of the rights.

Thats too bad, I'd love to see the current Marvel studios take on who should be in a core X group and how they'd cast them.

Boo ____ing hoo. The dude gets paid a cool million annually by Marvel for just being Stan Lee. A shame his co-creators aren't treated likewise. :monkey1

Yeah thats kind of odd that Starlin didn't even know that Thanos was going to be upcoming. Stan Lee kick your dog? :monkey2
