Theyll do what ever studio does with there beloved characters. REBOOT.

I can see them doing Teen Avengers, Old Avengers, and New Avengers.

Plus they have so many characters they can use.

Easy way to avoid Rebooting, lets face it people are very hung up on the continuing connected universe thing, is to move on from the established characters and do movies of other characters, then after years the avengers lot will be wanting to come back as their careers in many cases are defined by these roles and they can continue them

Hopefully, by the time they reboot, Disney will have acquired Sony's and Fox's Marvel properties, and we can have a proper Avengers with Wolverine and Spiderman. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening during the run of their two biggest stars, Jackman's Wolverine, and Downey's Iron Man. Of course, by then we'll have new stars, and newer storylines will have taken the forefront in the comics, so who knows what we'll see.

I just don't see Fox ever giving up the X-Men. It's a license to print money and there's enough depth in that niche of the Marvel Universe alone, to foot a century's worth of films.

Disney's a juggernaut. Who's to say the future landscape of the motion picture industry doesn't yield a merger or hostile takeover? Or, maybe they'll just give Fox an offer they can't refuse. Maybe unrealistic, but I can dream, right?

Probably heresy, but I'm sort of glad the two are in different hands. FOX is on a roll with First Class and The Wolverine and with the exception of Origins (which is good minus Weapon XI and Gambit), I really haven't had an issue with the X-Men films. If Marvel had them, given their limited production ability, I doubt they'd be doing them justice, and if they were, another license would be suffering.

I don't care necessarily that they're in Marvel Studios' hands, specifically, but it would be nice to see them in the same universe, the way they should be. I'm sure if Disney had ownership, that could be done, even if multiple studios were involved. Anyway, I know it won't happen this generation of movies, and who knows, by the time we get there, we could be seeing HBO-quality TV superhero universes. Once again, I can dream....

Thankfully we're already getting that with the upcoming Agents of SHIELD. :yess:

We can only hope Marvel gets the X-Men back

Speak for yourself :wink1:

:goodpost: :exactly:

Not, heresy, many feel the same. Particularly about their most recent movies.

Marvel Studios Wants a Female-Led Superhero Film - ComingSoon.net

Post Avengers: Age of Ultron, after Ant-Man and Doctor Strange in Phase 3, Ms. Marvel (Captain Marvel) indeed should be the next character to get the Marvel solo film treatment.

I'd love a female superhero movie the only two we've gotten (Catwoman and Elektra) were shameful.

Other than Ms Marvel who could they use though?

Black Widow would seem an obvious choice but she's more hero than superhero.
Black Cat springs to mind as one who could work as a solo movie.

I'm actually drawing a blank thinking of female heroes who could carry their own movie. :(

Fair enough.

Really can't think of a female hero to carry her own movie other than Ms Marvel. Most seem to be team members or supporting heroes.

Dagger is a strong female lead and is on equal terms with Cloak in their partnership, they could work well.

In a recent Fatman on Batman podcast (I generally dislike Kevin smith but he made a good point) DC do have that over marvel in that they have a fully fledged solo female superhero in Wonder Woman. Something marvel don't really have. Seems like the smart thing to do would be try and get a Wonder Woman film going before marvel do something similar. As you said, most marvel females are part of a team really or supporting characters.

Black Cat, I bet, is tied up with Sony, so unless they're going to get busy with spinoffs for a Spidey universe, I don't think we'll see her outside of a supporting role.

As for Widow, I'm honestly surprised we didn't get an espionage-themed film staring her and Hawkeye. There's a lot of potential there that went untapped. Especially after the "red ledger Budapest" build-up she wouldn't shut up about in Avengers. :lol

I'm wondering if we'll see Marvel Girl or maybe even a She Hulk film. Both are strong characters but I'm not so sure they could carry their own films.

She hulk would most likely be a must. I thought marvel girl was jean grey?

Too many of Marvel's female characters are just female versions of existing male characters, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman etc.
