I had to buy the 4 turtles, so I went to Target and got 'em. Has anyone seen any of the other figures yet? I remember I used to have all the original figures and vehicles, and I gave them all away to my cousin. Without selling them!!! I'm sad now. :monkey2 :D

I'll have to get those. I still need to get the NECA comic versions.

Pretty cool they are re-releasing these. I was thinking of getting the ones I had off of eBay since I had found this while going thru some of my stuff awhile back. Now it will be easier and cheaper.

Oh man, that used to be one of my favourite toys as a kid - don't know what happened to him. I think I might need to hit eBay and see if I can't get hold of it again!

It did really suprise me when I found out the guy who did the voice of the Shredder was also the same guy who Played Uncle Phil in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air

Thing is now I know it I can hear it, but otherwise I'd never have known.

Wiki says James Avery voiced him for season 1-7 (I doubt we even got all of those first 7 seasons shown on UK terrestrial TV)

It's something that you wouldn't think of, is probably why it worked so well

Cool, I never would have guessed that's who did his voice. I never realized the show was on for that long either.

Is pretty amazing when you think of it, a Kids fad lasting for 9 years in popularity.

Like Transformers it's one of those things that will probably never re-achieve it's initial popularity, but it's never going to go away either

It is quite a feat. Are the Power Rangers still around? They lasted a long ass time too. But they weren't nearly so cool.

They're still around but the change them alot. New costumes and characters all the time. Probably to sell more toys.

That and kids today have such short attention spans they have to do something to keep them tuned it.

Pokemon are another that have been around forever. I remember that being on when I was in high school and my little cousin loves Pokemon now.

Heh, I thought this was going to be a thread calling for either a 12" or Premium Format highly detailed Shredder figure...

Which might be kind of cool, actually.

I was at Target yesterday and was very surprised to see some "original" Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the shelf. Apparently, it's the 25th anniversary of the turtles and I couldn't be more jazzed. I quickly and without hesitation bought both Donatello and Michelangelo... well they are my favorite turtles how could I resist. :D

My story is similar- I was shocked, sort of excited, then I realized I had a set of those... back when I was in college. OMG! How can 25 years have passed? Wow. :crying

I went to Target and picked up a Raphael. The next four figures are out also. Thay had April, Splinter, Bebop, and Rocksteady. They don't come with DVD's though.

That is false advertising then. It clearly says on the front of the package it comes with a DVD. Email Playmates and complain!
