From my searches online, it seems like SS is the only place that still has stock. If I finally buy the Big Chap, it will be from SS directly, in case it has defects (broken ankle pieces, tail, ect.)

All the reputable authorized resellers have the same replacement policy as sideshow direct, they place the support ticket & sideshow dropship the part to you directly. It's actually easier than dealing with sideshow directly from my experience, as they dont require you to take gazallion photos of everything and has a higher success rate for not getting rejected.

Only difference is if you want to return for a full refund, then only sideshow direct let you do that. But almost all the pieces i buy i know i would keep it forever so it's not a big issue.

I save about $40 per pf order factoring in all the reward points/shipping etc.. if order from reseller, it adds up quick..


ps i am still waiting for my sano i ordered & paid for a month ago sent those guys another email see what the status is.

The Sano is too small.

That's because if they made it 1/4, all the people who bought the 1/3 bust would not be happy as the size now is comparable. So they made it 1/5 to create a more significant size difference between the full alien vs bust. Doubt they will ever make a 1/4 or 1/3 full alien..

And it's not small exactly at 20" high. It will fit perfectly with the upcoming sideshow 1/5 classic predator, so i am happy it's 1/5 actually. Just need roswell to ship this thing...

The Alien 3 maquette is incredible. Best Alien piece statue out there - just not my favourite Alien.

Ha I was just messing around trying to take a pic of mine but can't get a decent shot cos there is no light.
The weird thing with this statue is that it looks awkward in photos, but in person it is amazing.

Big Chap would be a done deal given the scale to price ratio but it's actually the scale that's throwing it off a bit for me. Everything I own is 1/4 scale except my 1/2 scale endo but I'd kinda like an Alien to go with my Predator maquette.

The Big Chap maquette is 1/4 scale (maybe slightly bigger). He towers over the other SS 1/4 Aliens.

well it turns out this is not shipped, i am now told it will take 1 MONTH to ship this......wtf, sano must be painting those on demand or something..

i still have NOT received my alien from roswell which was fully paid on 4/30, sent them an email 6/1 for a status update and got no reply.

I sent another followup email today 6/10. If i still dont hear back from them in a week, will probably have to file with my credit card company. Or maybe get one of my friends in tokyo to actually visit their store, as I really want this statue. But so far the experience ordering from roswell...is lacking to say the least.

That sucks. I think you should've received it by now, since they were all in stock for quite awhile now.

Yeah that's terrible...i know that when they were moving shop their communication was bad...but they should be all settled by now I would think...
Suggestion..when u email them, cc all other emails they have, like customer service, info, sales, or whatever they've got ...
And b persistent....

I got the reg version, that was the only one still not soldout at the time. Also I prefer the darker color and it's cheaper too (they gave me the club price), so was perfect

Btw my friend called their store, the alien has finally shipped via ems. Now just counting the days, really hope it comes perfect otherwise it will be a nightmare.
