Then i'd understand because the director may have been friends with the person, and when he died, it wasn't easy to get over.

well the movie is done and people understand I guess but like people were saying about Cars 2, a simple mention would have been okay.

The Fellowship Of the Ring is better than Batman Begins and LOTR.

:exactly: I love Fellowship. I can watch that any day. Two Towers I am sorry is freaking boring. Until the battle of Helm's Deep, it just feels like I am watching people either walking or getting introduced to characters I find annoying (mainly Aowen). Or watching slo mo Aragorn and Arwen talking. Blah. ROTK is really good, but LOTR peaked with it's first film.

So again I vote Batman. Now SW OT is no contest. That trumps everything. Better characters, better story, way more fun.

Odd thing is, Id say the LOTR films are overall better, but I'll rewatch the Batman films more often.... :monkey1

Thats because you have to set aside an entire day to watch a LOTR movie! I mean the blu-ray editions are like 4 hours long :rotfl

On topic, lord of the rings any day. I like Nolans Batman but Bales Batman voice frackin' cracks me up everytime, it just seems to get more OTT with each installment :lol

I was more thinking you needed to worry about the DEA. :nana:

These things . . . are not true.

Especially Boromir and Harvey Dent. Boromir's fall is 10x better than Dent's and he actually redeems himself.

LOS > Uruk Hai? WUT?

Yep, agreed.

The Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite, especially the extended version. From the Shire to Amon Hen, it's all great and has a nice flow of pace.

I like the Two Towers but the tree/Ent stuff does take it's toll on me as does the Aragorn and Arwen love fest. It's fine up until Merry and Pippin go into Fangorn forest. The good outweigs the bad though. The highlights for me are Helms Deep, the opening with the Balrog fight, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli tracking the Uruk-Hai who have captured Merry and Pippin, the Warg fight, most scenes with Saruman, King Theoden, and a good bit of the Frodo, Sam, Gollum and Faramir scenes.

Return of the King is also great, but it's just too grandiose and too long for my tastes. They linger way too long on the climax and it just seems over dramatic. It's like Peter Jackson and the cast and crew didn't want to leave.

But yeah, while they're all great, the Fellowship is definitely my favorite.

No, you just love weed. :lol

Notice Jye intentionally left out the Hobbits and Thalia's death scene. Included, Batman fails. :lol

None of these are boring to me. There are bits I'm not big on or I don't like but really those are few over the course of the three films. Some of what I've seen mentioned as being "meh" are parts hat help add depth to the story. For me this is why these three films are better than any trilogy is because the depth provided by Tolkien trumps all.

While i'm excited for the Hobbit, for me it's somewhat anticlimatic that the LOTR were made first.

The biggest emotional impact has occurred already, the destruction of the ring.

While Hobbit will be fun and exciting, nothing will provide me that emotional ending.

You don't know what Jackson has in store for us.

Hmmmm......I'm surprised you have started an Avengers poll of some sort. :lol
