I loved all three of the films, but The Two Towers is my personal favorite.

It just doesn't get any better than the Battle of Helm's Deep!

I would also add the scene in the RotK when the Rohirrim cavalry charge into battle at Pelennor Fields. That entire scene just gets me all choked up from beginning to end.

Feel the same way and thats definately one of my favourite scenes hence my sig.

Ill add to what Jen wrote by saying in FOTR the despair on Frodo's face at the end of the film then him remembering what GTG said that gives him renewed determination i find moving.

Also in ROTK i cant go past Arwen seeing her future son in her vision especially now since i have become a father.

I also like in ROTK when the King says to the hobbits you bow for no one and everyone falls to their knees, just to many great scenes i could just go on.:D

Lastly i am also guilty sometimes of fast forwarding the Frodo,Sam,Gollum scenes to get back to Aragorn,Legolas and Gimli.;)

That scene is a rush. I remeber I just kept rewinding that part over and over and I love I how they used the Rohan theme in the charge of the calvary!

Yeah u gotta love any scene that has the good willing to sacrifice themselves for what they believe in with their leader providing a speech full of passion and hope.

Another one that instantly comes to mind is William Wallaces Sons of Scotland another of my fav scenes and movies.:rock

While I love all 3 films. FOTR is my favorite... It has everything a movie should have in it. TTT is 2nd well because who doesn't love battles. ROTK is the weakest film... it felt rushed and should have been done in two films.

Of course IT IS one tale...but 3 films.

And Tooks favorite FILM is definately Fellowship!!!!

Seeing it all for the first time!

C'mon - Remember the anticipation when you heard the opening music!

Seeing Sauron!

Surely you remember the goosebumps when you first saw The Shire come to life! Gandalf and his cart....For Pete's sake, Bag End!!!...Its was just like I imagined it!

What about the funny look the fat hobbit (Everard Proudfoot) gave when Gandalf rode past? Certanly that brought a chuckle!

The Nine riding from Minas Morgul! Escape off the road and Buckleberry ferry!

Flight to the Fjord.....that was great!!

Rivendell and the meeting! Gimli looked better that I had imagined!

The Door of Durin, The Watcher, and Moria with Orcs, Cave Troll and Balrog!!

The fall of Gandalf! That music!!! That jerked a tear from the ol' Tookster!

Whew - I'm gettin all worked up!

Screw it! I'm going back to Middle Earth when I get home tonight!!!

Mine too!

All men die.........

gotta go with viewing them as one film.
unlike the SW trilogies, which didn't flow as well from one to the other.

Return of the King.

Not only does it contain the majority of my favorite scenes of the trilogy but being the third film in a series it also faced the biggest hurdles in being a quality film, let alone as good or better than the first two.

Not only is it my favorite LOTR film, its my favorite movie period.

I still have alot of trouble watching some of the ending of RotK. Watching the hobbitses crying is just too hard for me. I've seen it dozens of times and it still chokes me up.

i generally love the trilogy but i have to agree, there's something about the Fellowship of The Ring

Well FOTR appears to be the much loved film by most fans including me.I voted 1 film as did a fair portion of us but i'm sure if the choice came down to which film most would also choose FOTR.

FOTR for me, too...

Fellowship is the one I watch the most. Just a perfect, epic film IMO. Music, fantasy, visuals, acting, action, drama, just everything about it is perfect. Love the other two as well, but they weren't quite as well paced as Fellowship.

Man I remember the first time I saw FOTR in the theatre at midnight and I had to pee before they left the Shire! I couldn't leave the theatre as I was completely into it but once the credits started rolling I was in so much pain I couldn't move!
