...In keeping with this, I am guessing that we will see variations of the clones... so many possibilities and minimal effort on Medicom's part.

And a future drain on my bank account, if true.

I didn't order the all white plain Clone, but I would definitely be in for some screen-accurate painted and weathered ones.

Here is my take in this. I really doubt Medicom will make a non armoured figure while SS has the license. Do you find it odd that Medicom has not made a Human figure since Luke which was made in 2004. Then in 2005 Sideshow gets 12" license. It looks like the first Vader was released right around the same time SS gets the license. Nov 2005 Jedi Luke is previewed.
Early 2006 Medicom releases ROTS Vader and SS releases Jedi Luke. Then late in 2006 Stormtrooper gets releases and Shadow Stormtrooper is previewed. Then in Sept 2006 the Clone trooper is previewed.

What all this tells me is that either there is an agreement between SS and Medicom not to step on each others toes, or LFL does not want this.

The ST came out in 2005 late which is when i got mine,I think Medicom will release whatever they want.They're just kickin out some armored troopers right now.(since there is no competition) I'm betting on an Emperor figure from them sometime in the not too distant future.(and luke was 2004)

Well that actually helps prove my point if the ST came out in late 2005. That means that almost every single Medicom figure was in the works when SS got the license. That means they put out 4 figures in under 2 years then a 1 year break, before putting out a repainted figure and a new figure. Now the question is why a 1 year gap, I have a feeling there was negtoiations.

Another odd thing the SS/Medicom agreeement was right around the same time as the SS/SW license.

Right.But i don't think SS has anything to do with it.They know people want clones etc. and are smart to be pumping them out so frequently right now.Could they have an agreement? I suppose,one way to find out for sure would be if medicom released a han solo or something and see if SS imports it.

I would seriously doubt SS would disribute that, I would seriously doubt you would see it imported to the US at all. From what I understand Medicom only has a license to distribute in Japan(Asia?), by trying to bring that something like that to he US could start a serious legal battle that could be the end of either company or even both companies if Lucas decides to go after them. If they have a Worldwide license then all bets are off but I really don't think thats the case, like I said there is a agreement between SS/Medi/LFL on how things will be done.

I think Medicom will continue doing figures that Sideshow has no immediate plans for beacuse there is no competion for them. Not that competion would really be an issue most Medicom figures have much smaller edtion sizes from Sideshow's stuff and with Star Wars fans just about anything in small quanties will get sucked up fast.

I'm not even a big fan of Jango as a character (I like Boba) - but I'm gettin that figure for sure.

I would love to see a nice Hoth Rebel soldier from Medicom. Or a Luke or Han in Hoth gear. Medicom would do a great job of the tayloring.

Besides the Yoda, Jango is the only Medi I would ever consider getting if I suddenly had money rotfl ). Besides, if Sideshow made them I could still sell them for more than the Sideshow version. I will say, Jango is a great figure. He'd be so perfect with Mace if they made the extra jetpack!

Once I get Jango - I will likely make a copy of the headsculpt and modify it to be Boba's head. hehe
