That IS a proto pic...

I know what you mean, D.A., the HT Proto pics but this is a pic of a proto display so CF is correct, we haven't seen any pics of the actual production item but should within the next week or so, they are in stock in Asia.

Here's the real thing:

Not quite as good as the proto. I do like the S, though.

Oh....Thanks CF and Pjam for the nice info and pics.. At least now we know what we are getting. Still looks fantastic and I'm sure it looks even better in hand.

Ozie Goods has bumped up their price to $300, and they have three for sale! :slap
I think ABC Express is up to $333 now. At these prices I'll wait for their Christopher Reeve Supes (I'm hoping they make one).

I'm just not seeing the appeal of the Hot Toys Superman... the face sculpt imo looks nothing like Routh, it resembles Bruce Campbell in Escape from LA if you ask me...

For me (I payed 150 shipped) it came down to the suit having the dark blue seam lines and also the scale. Also, I think the Medicom sculpt is closer, but not perfect, plus I really don't like the material the proto has and the scale is bound to be an issue (for a scale nazi like me anyway) since it's medicom.

The S shield is crooked. :lol

Probably just the suit is on there crooked...that's what I'm telling myself anyway. My DCD 13" Supes was like that in the box, I about had a heart attack until I pulled it out and straightened it.

Someone just paid $333 for this on ebay, a new record! Glad most of us got in under the wire. Should be a small wave of them listed on eBay now that they have been released so If you really want one try to snag one out of the batch for a decent price. But I don't think they'll be coming down too much with a 1200 ES.
