There's a thread here where I put the HT and DCD next to each other. The HT costume is superior in every way. The DCD "S" doesn't even have texture like HT's does. The material is a better color and thickness on the HT as well.

Good point Darklord Dave.
I am very surprised by the HT Superman. I must say he is one of the best figures in my collection, and I would have NEVER guessed that. Granted I like him more now that he is repainted, but out of box he is not shabby.
In fact, it does photograph badly. The blue cannot be captured in any shots I have seen. It only looks like the material in the movie in person. Sad that.

Cool photoshop pic too! Love that.

Now, someone needs to make the Daily Planet globe shot with the HT holding it! :D

My DCD S shield is textured, but it's a more subtle diamond shape. Are the textures on the HT version actually small S's?

The one thing I really hate about the DCD version are those mid-bicep cut joints. Makes his arms look deformed and also snags the sleeve threads. I can't imagine what made them think putting a cut joint there was a good idea.

No, OM, the HT is like that too, a kind of intricate small diamond shape that does suggest detail, but is just a pattern.

And I so agree with you about the DCD bodies! I have no idea whose idea it was to make those oddly placed mid-limb turn joints that cannot keep a regular shape. On a round arm, it works. On these textured and muscled, assymetrical arms and legs, it looks terrible when turned.

Plus, the bodies are just too big. Legs are too long if nothing else.

No, they are like little triangles but unless you look close you can't tell. It basically just gives it the textured look but they're so small I doubt if they had put S's in there you could even tell.

Has anyone that ordered Hot Toys Superman Returns and/or Batman Begins from Toy Square have them shipped yet?

Yes, I know of at least three of us, I had both shipped Friday.

Best to call or email them for order status...

I was contacted by Toy Square that my Batman Begins figure would be shipped out in the next couple of days. So mine hasn't shipped but will very soon.
I just hope my name comes up on the wait list for the Superman figure

If you've seen the repaints in other threads, you'll see that the HT head sculpt is an excellent likeness which just needs a good paintjob.

And CF do you have the Medicom in hand?

I just got a reply e-mail from Toy Square about the status of my Supes/Baty figures. They should both ship out Monday or Tuesday. So anybody still waiting for these just hang on, they're coming.

I've ordered some stuff with them in the past and don't believe they send shipping info but as I recall they will provide your HK registered mail tracking info if requested.

Thank you. They said they'd send tracking info a week ago; so far no joy. But if this is normal for them I will avoid panic.Again, thanks...PS

Hey guys!
I think I'm going to cry :monkey2 because I don't have my HT Superman, so I have to make the following question:
Where can I buy the Medicom Superman on-line in the USA? (not e-bay)
Thanks!!!

Man, I so feel your pain. Stay the course! Maybe you can snag that HT figure. I still prefer it to these others. If you have to, get the Medicom or that huge DC Direct figure at Bigbadtoystore.com. They have them for fairly affordable yet...
