Let's make sure one of us starts an image thread for the HT figures.

No, I ordered from 2 different ebayers. Supes from HK and Bats from Australia. He should be here soon I hope! I took some pics earlier today and I'll get them posted later tonight or tomorrow (at work now). This figure really is a thing of beauty.

Supes Returns just didn't sit well enough as a finished movie experience to keep me as up on it as I had hoped for Darth Scourge!

Yes it is. I did that custom a year or so ago. Don't make him anymore. Too much trouble to make for me. He was a really LIMITED release. PJAM got #2 I think. And no, I do not sell that head. Sorry...been asked so many times it's just sort of painful. Long story. Thanks for noticing though.


Here is my new Hot Toys Supes repainted...

I stayed up late last night just to post it for you guys.
I completely repainted the head. He no longer has that NO SUN EVER look, and matched his neck to the head, as well as both sets of hands. I also painted up the arm about a half inch, so any showing joint areas would match.
His eyes are a pain! Made him looking up slightly, since he always does that a bit. They are not real eye color, but those contacts that Routh wears, so they look odd and strange somewhat. Capturing that is hard. Gotta paint in all that iris detail to make them look right. I hope I have. Photos make them look less blue than they are. He also has a slight five O'clock shadow, especially his mustache area. Slight. Oh, and his hair is not black. Not as dark as Reeve's was anyway. Brown with highlights.
Whole thing looks tons better with the deep colors of the costume than it did out of box. All the colors look even richer with better skintones now.

Really nice work, Les! I think painting the eyes alone makes a big difference in how he looks. No pun intended!

Amazing work, Les! As I expected. I was wondering if you would thicken the eyebrows a bit to match Routh and lo and behold you did just that.



Now you have THE Best SR fig and my envy rages within me, control, must control the NV!

Thanks. Spent a lot of time on his eyebrows as well. They are crucial to Routh's look. Meant to mention that.

Still trying to get the whole lighting thing down when taking pics but you get the drift.

BTW, the only pic I used a stand one was the first one. All the other poses were set up without the stand and stayed perfectly until I moved them. Great balance on this figure.

It's hands down the best figure I've ever owned. Now, I've only been into sixth scale collecting for a few months so my collection is only a couple each of SS, HT, and Medi but it beats all of those easily and well surpasses anything I ever bought in the 6" and 3 3/4" scales.

I can definitly see why some people don't like the sculpt. For me, I see the resemblence in there, plus I knew going in that it didn't look 100% like Routh so that probably has something to do with how happy I am. For me as long as the headsculpt is close I'm happy since I'm mostly concerned with scale, poseability and most of all the outfit. It was actually the detail on the outfit that made me buy this one in the first place and it actually surpassed my expectations.

NOW BRING ON MY HT BB!!

I've never seen the DCD SR in person so I can't really say which is better but I had the comic DCD Supes for a while and I think the HT version is better than that by far. It's not as flimsy feeling (like on the beltloops and such) as the DCD.
