Hey guys!
What about John Haymes Newton and Gerard Christopher playing Superboy for the TV series?
I would like those figures too. Very Iconic :D

We can all at least agree that Dean Cain sucked, right?

i can't say dean cain sucked, but man, his show sure did. or at least the first episode of season one. i just watched that, and man, was it bad.

I've seen two episodes of George playing Supes, and he just wasn't very appealing. Chris Reeves was way better than him!

i'm watching the first season of the superman series and the second episode is a jimmy olsen spin-off. what horrible timing for an episode like this.

I'm a big fan of Cain and Lois & Clark - the later seasons went for the kids, but I liked the character dynamics between Lois and Clark. I wish Singer had done it closer to that.

Cain's a decent actor, a really nice guy and made an okay Supes.

Which 2 episodes did you see? Some are pretty Gawd-awful;this is true of any series. To get a good idea of George's work(and talent) you ought to see some of the episodes from the second season. I strongly recommend "Superman In Exile" and"Panic In The Sky", 2 of the best. Also very good is "The Stolen Costume" from the first season. You have to remember that the people in charge didn't really know what they were doing, or what they had, so the show was very inconsistent as far as approach, writing and level of maturity were concerned...PS

News Flash...Superman Returns is scheduled for DVD release during the 4th quarter of '06( Just in time for Xmas!)

i saw the first episode, which i thought was well done. i really liked seeing jor-el and krypton after only seeing it one way in the richard donner film my whole life. and i thought it was weird that the kents were not named john and martha, but overall it was well made for an old 1950's show.

the second episode was almost all jimmy olsen. he went to visit his aunt who he hadn't seen in years and got kidnapped by people using the cave under the lighthouse to smuggle stuff in from ships. i just thought it was really weird to have a spin-off episode so soon after the series premier.

...and yep, superman returns, the chris reeve boxset and the richard donner cut of superman 2 come out november 28!:chew

I've never seen any reeves movies or shows (both chris and george) they weren't exactly my generation, I wasn't a big fan of supes till I saw Superman Returns... It was a great and emmotional superhero film... you usually don't get emmotional along with superheroes.. you usually get action action action...

Thanks guys!! I was seriously nervous about this one. I hated the paint apps so much but was too afraid to wreck it. It took me several days and many near stumbles.... but in the end I am very very pleased with how he turned out. Especially the eyes.... :rock :rock :rock

WOW, man! You really nailed the seemingly-stoic-yet-actually-emotionaly-vulnerabile that Routh brought to the roll. That whole, "Lois, after I save the world, can I talk to you?" thing.

Good job!

You really should see Superman:The Movie. Bryan Singer really borrowed a lot from that film to make Superman Returns. In a way, Singer's film was kind of a remake. Not scene for scene, but close. You'll really be suprised at all the lines that were "borrowed" from the first Superman film and inserted into Superman Returns.

You are right! I second your words. People who don't know very well the Superman history on the movies should see the Christopher Reeve work :bow (at least Superman & Superman II)

WHAT? No love for Superman 3 and Superman 4 :rotfl :rotfl ? No love for nuclear man? producers should have known it would be a failure when the guys name who played nuclear man was named Mark Pillow (i mean honestly, PILLOW!!!).

Josh, great work my man! Just goes to show the HT sculpt was always there but the generic paint apps definitely took away from it. I am having my HT head repainted too...

So now we need some new signature flying poses!? :D
