Well if you're into the whole mullet thing, V has one too when you wear the Bandana, I personally prefer the ponytail though. I think the fatigues and even his sneaking suit, scarred up face, and bionic arm just makes him look like the most badass Snake.

I assumed a real cigar would damage whatever they did to his vocal cords.

Yea, I hated Sunny. Did Kojima ever give a reason why he made Sunny a girl? MGS2 saids Olga had a son right?

IIRC there's mistranslantions in MGS2. I don't know what they stated in the Japanese version, but I do remember Snake referring to them as a "him."

If I recall, there isn't a gender designation for a person in Japanese, so you can't tell if it's either a he or she, hence why Dr. Clark was also a male.

Speaking of translations, it's amazing that Agness Kaku did all the work herself because Kojima couldn't give a rats ass about supervising the translation. She truly had a traumatic time.

The Japanese fans got the best end of the deal, they got to keep their recurring voice actor as well as have the motion capture of a pretty well known actor. It's just us who are left with new vocals. That being said I thought the 'From the Man Who Sold The World' cassette was some really good voice work, I bought him as full Big Boss there.

Ironically, people were happy at Kiefer playing Ishmael and then angry when Venom was voiced by Kiefer when in fact it should have been Ishmael being voiced by Kiefer that annoyed us all along.

While Venom Snake isn't my favorite Protagonist, like Kiva said, I do have an attachment to the character. After doing over 200 missions, and building motherbase with the guy it's hard not to feel some attachment.

He's probably my favorite Snake design wise though, the horn, fatigues with scarf, robot arm and pony tail are all badass to me. I even think he has the best sneaking suit in the series. Only thing I didn't like was that he didn't smoke a real cigar, but it's makes sense why he couldn't.

I feel this way too, My initial reaction was a fairly angry one, but then I relaxed and ended up loving the decision, and it was so obvious after you know, I cant believe I didnt catch on earlier!

Fave is snake, for sure, raiden is my second

I like her in MGR because she bonds with wolf, that's all. In general no, I didn't care for her outside of Olga, I just liked how she literally told off Snake for smoking and it ruined his psyche. A tiny-ass, young girl ruined Snake's mood, and discouraged him, etc 'age hasn't slowed you one bit' my ass.

Basically, Sunny is meh.

It would've been awesome if David Hayter returned to voice Ishmael in the Mission 46 scene.
