you can have an opinion on something, but to say that anybody that collects 1/6 or mini bust or barbies for that matter are losers is just harsh. Imagine someone buying there first collectible being all excited and then they happen on the nerd boards and read all the generalization bashing of said collectible. Not something to motivate a new collector.

Well said new collector shouldn't the or she what he reads on the internet so seriously.

Again, we come here to discuss collectables (among other things). If we all had the dame opinion about everything, discussions would peter-out pretty fast IMO. :dunno

Well it's okay to have an opinion about any item, just be respectful of someone's desire to collect an item regardless of whether you hate it or not

in these forums they are sort of linked as one negative post seems to snowball, without concern for anybody's feelings at all
In truth, I think that the anonymity makes it really easy for people to throw around insults and comments with no real repercussions. As such, you really need to have a thick skin to post here, or in similar types of forums, because there is a lot of it. You do tend to become what you see as bad in others, though, because that's just the culture. And, it is a bit fun to get involved in silly, heated arguments from time to time, IMO.

Of course, if you don't like what someone says, you always have the right to defend your own opinion. So, are Barbies cool? Prove it!

To the previous post, rightly or wrongly, respect isn't something you always see on this forum. I see it in other forums, and I see it here from time to time here, but not always. There seem to be people whose only purpose here is to try and disrespect people and run people down. You've just got to defend yourself, or they'll just pile it on.

I love these forums, and it seems that people are pretty respectful over all. There are a few notable exceptions, but people seem pretty quick to silence those individuals (or ignore them).

I think everyone has a right to state their opinion on what people collect or what they like or don't like. When it gets to the point of "That's crap" or "Anyone who collects this is an idiot" that's what I don't agree with.

I've said it before but just because you don't like something, that doesn't make it crap or the person who does like it and collect it, not worthy of collecting.

:lecture :lecture :lecture

Well said, Havok! :rock

After scrolling through, I already forget what the topic is. BUTTT I don't care what anyone thinks of me and my collection. Here or anywhere. I even post stuff about it on my Facebook status. Cause...I.IS.PROUD! :D

The problem is that not everybody has a thick skin, lots of them are introverted and shy and to have someone whom in their eyes should be in the same boat say, oH! what you collect is for losers. it's kinda awful and disrespectful. You Maglor have a thick skin so it's not an issue for you

We know BG and most folks in here are proud of their stuff, just weird to me when we are on a board for collectors and people start saying that what the collect is the only thing that is worth collecting.

while were on the subject...............does anyone know where i can get a Ken foree sculpt?

:monkey3

every collector believes what they collect is the best or else they wouldn't be collecting it, hence the differance in opinions and lively discussion.:D

BTW people that collect 1/6 figures suck :monkey3
