Honestly I think we might not see any SW POs until SDCC begins. 1/6 Spiderman main suit must be coming. Then, it's probably Lion King Cosbabies. Probably one of the SDCC exclusive will be a Spiderman as well.

Instead of Poe or Padme we need 20 more spider-man’s

If you guys love Rogue One I’ll recommend reading Catalyst and Rebel Rising. R1 is SW for adults. Hope the Cassian series will continue that.

Really surprised that Poe pilot never went to PO. Shocking to realize Poe has not gotten a single 1/6 high-end figure at all.

I guess people will assume they'll finally do a Poe for TROS, but unless he really shines in TROS or has a majorly increased role, I don't see why TROS will change anything if TFA and TLJ weren't enough. Poe had such a big scene in his flightsuit in TLJ but it wasn't enough for the fig to see release.

To me he's a much more standout ST figure than Finn, both as a character and in terms of outfits, and Finn's had multiple releases, even with him relegated from co-lead in TFA to a lesser (and frankly somewhat more goofy) role in TLJ.

Catalyst as an audio book is even better id say. Music sound effects excellent narration. Definitely worthwhile

And yep totally agree with your statement that R1 is SW for adults. I really hope Disney had seen that this is the formula that works and continues in that direction. The Mandalorian surely looks like it. Cassian should be in a similar vain I'm hoping just more as a spy type vibe.

Yes, the audio book is definitely the way to go. I listened to it while working. I do that a lot.
I hope the vibe of the Cassian series was laid out in the scene where he ends up having to kill his own agent to protect the information he got. That dark side of the good side, kind of depressing, spy/war stories has a lot of potential.

I think a Finn, Rey, Kylo, Palpatine, Poe and maybe one or two KOR are a lock-in at this point. I don't think HT will bother making ghost Luke, Leia and certainly not anymore FO troopers.

I am not sure it will be that straightforward.
TLJ has done so much damage to the merchandise side of Star Wars (and box office potentially too if Solo was anything to read into. I don't plan on going to see EU EP9 tbh).

Hot Toys don't like to take risks. EP9 figures are certainly that.

Where is Baze and the DST Hot Toys!?!?!?!

I think we'll get Rey, Kylo, and possibly a trooper from E9.
Additionally I think HT will give us a Poe from one of the movies.

Only 3 releases in the first 3 months of the year points towards there being a flurry of activity at the end of the year. Those predicting HT to overlook Episode IX and release only a few figures are way off. Did those TLJ figures really do so badly? It seems to me it's easier to find TFA figures than it is the TLJ ones (at least that's the case here in Old Blighty). I'm not the biggest ST guy, but I'd certainly pick up 3-5 figures from this film to complete the collection.

I suspect TLJ Hot Toys where made is very few numbers. Probably less than the RO offerings and they are in very high demand now. (Where is my Baze!)

Every discount store in the UK has TLJ merchandise clogging up the shelves for £2 a figure and they are not selling at that price either.

I hope, somehow, that EP9 can repair the damage. I won't hold my breath though.

TLJ made me start buying ST and R1 figures. My two favorite Disney SW movies. so guess I’m an example of the opposite [emoji2368]
We’ll get loads of figures from the ST in the long run, but it’s like there’s no focus on what effect it has that SW in 2019 is just one out of many huge franchises.

Sure, yeah I agree with regards to the cheaper lines like Hasbro etc. I think a lot of those lines hold more appeal to kids and casual collectors. Therefore if the movie bombs or receives mixed or negative reviews then it turns people off. However, with the high end collectibles for the big boys (and gals) I think we tend to overlook the quality of the movie a bit and focus more on the character design and figure quality. Just look how many people claim not to like the prequels, yet still go buy Anakin, Maul, Obi-Wan etc.

Having said that, personally I couldn’t care less whether they release more than 3-5 figures for Episode IX, as long as they’re the right figures. The Mandalorian on the other hand, gimme EVERYTHING.

It’s funny when it’s claimed that TLJ bombed and got bad reviews... the objective truth is the opposite. It might be the best reviewed SW movie ever - especially when you look at it from an international perspective.
That said, the very loud negative minority is well represented in the group that buy these things and it does have impact on the sales. But the same negativity was evident when the PT came out and now the same people buys the stuff like there’s no tomorrow. Same thing will probably happen with ST if we still buy toys in ten years.

The ''bombed'' comment was about movies in general, not TLJ specifically. However, you can't deny it's been one of the most, if not the most, divisive SW movies of all time. The reviews have most certainly been mixed, when you take all critic and fan reviews into account. There's some excellent stuff in there, especially the cinematography, but there's certainly a lot which the vast majority of people (not the minority) have been negative about (e.g. Canto Bight, Rose, the Marvel style humour, flying Leia, shirtless Kylo etc.)

I still cannot watch TPM now. The basis of the story is fine, but the execusion is woeful.
But I always rated Maul and the Theed Hanger showdown. I just watch that bit.

The other 2 films have some fantastic moments, I loved the Kamino cloning factory.
The Clone Wars tv show gave the PT much more relevance too for me.

The ST so far has just left me cold.
I spent quite a lot of money on HT prior to seeing TFA. That film just asked loads of questions with no actual outcomes.
I won't discuss why I hated TLJ as it would take too long. I desperately wanted to walk out of the cinema on midnight viewing.

I detest it sadly. I take no pleasure in that either. Broke my heart after 40 years of emotional investment in the universe.

That top shelf is magic. We need Baze!
Tank trooper would be most welcome too.

These people clearly just dont know when to stop :).

Am I ‘these people’? :) probably. Thing is you can’t argue the statement. And of course I am talking about professional reviews here. That’s a given.
...and when you don’t stop, why should I? :)

Just to change the subject, which Rogue One (and Solo) characters do we think will turn up in the Cassian series?
