Not buying, why? because the damn thing is $2,000 thats why! Next question.

It could be the best looking statue ever made and I still wouldn't buy it at $2000 or $1500. For that much I want 1:1 scale life size.

This will be a welcome addition to my theater room alongside other high end studio production collectibles I've accumulated over the years.

The open ES is more of a bummer than the price. I bought $5-10 toys/figure/etc that's overly mass produced. I don't expect this from a $2,000 statue. At least end it at 750 ES. On the other hand, I wonder how many buyers willing to shell out 2k for this in a year from now. Maybe I am just a greedy collector; don't wanna see SC still selling this 2 yrs from now.

Of course, I would only buy it if its Hulk and/or Batman.

$4000 for Bat-Hulk.

Note that there is no chance of "googly" eyes since only one eye will have a pupil. Each piece is uniquely hand painted by a bunch of 6 year olds on a sugar high. Please feel free to contact us on any further questions. Also there is the non-damage costume variant available for pre-order.

Price just went up.

$6000. Putting it on ebay as of right now with a 10% NRD of $5500.

still to much, only paid $600 for my lifesize Hulk.:yess:

Thats it??
Thats a good deal, but its a prop yes?

Its not the same as Sideshow collector quality, yet I see that size for Hulk matters.
If Sideshow makes a Hulk it will be more than $2k

That's a hell of a good statue. Although, I could get approximately 2000 digital comic books at 99 cents each for the same price. Girls like lots of comic books, right?

Alright, I'll take the 2000 comic books. No, wait, yes. No. Yes. Yes. :yess: The statue!

:cuckoo: you just answered your own question. Speaking third person huh?

I don't mind the LSF-line being an open es. That should kill the secondary market (eBay) and secure the price not going up to ridicolous hights (re: GG Babydoll). That could be why someone doesn't like the open es idea: they can't make a profit. But I don't buy this stuff with the thought of some day selling it again. Nor do I keep the statues in the box on the roof and never display them. I have two open es models (build to order) in the same price area and both are among my favorites pieces (The Viper Mark II Artisan Replica and Serenity - The Big Damn Replica)

The open es also mean that I can wait to order to the first movers have gotten their piece and posted in-hand pix. I know excatly what I get.

I have voted no in the poll 'cause Wolvie isn't one of my favorites marvel figures. Nor will I get the DM or IM. But I won't rule out that another lsf will find it's way to my shelves someday. Maybe a LOTR or some other Marvel.

:exactly: Open ES means you can get it way down the line (and most probably cheaper) after seeing all the in hand pics. Like avoiding the breakages in that first batch of paper mache Ironman 1:2, and horrible chin Ironman maquettes. Altho' SS is good at CS, the return process is a pain (especially for internationals).

Actually it's Futurama reference

involving a decision between 500 lizards and a an expensive parrot. Philip J. Fry bought the bird then immediately lost it. When he found the bird, it was only good for eating because it just got hit by a TOW missile from Robot Santa.

The parrot was meant as a gift to Leela. In the end, it was the thought the counted.

As for purchasing Wolverine, all I can say is that it is awesome eye candy. I am definitely tempted, but that is a lot of comics/lizards. The other thought is would I be happier getting a lsf Captain America. I think the absolute limit would be one lsf due to the price and size, but who knows...

"Alright, I'll take the 2000 comic books. No, wait, yes. No. Yes. Yes. :yess: The statue!"

Whatever strikes the mood + other variables will factor in my decision making process. Bottom line is how bad do I want it. In the meantime, I'll be on the fence because their isn't a need to make a quick decision due to the open ES.

I would also like a real wolverine to come with the statue. im talking about the wild caught one from canada or alaska. then maybe i can justify a $2K prize tag on a "Collectible" which doesnt even have established edition size.

Fuzzy would this statue come with actual adamantium claws? cos i could understand the price then, SSC would have to develop and create a new metal for this guy, thats gotta bump the price up a fair bit :lol

:lol I wouldn't mind a set of adamantium claws! Maybe they do an adamantium skeleton too and a healing factor will sure help with damages in transport.

The Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton 1:2 Scale Replica have a ES of 500, with a price tag of $1999.00, and is still available. Maybe this LSF will have a ES in the future too.
