Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

$250 I can swallow but not $275, don't get me wrong this is a fantastic piece and more than likely I will get it since LOTR is my bread n'butter, however the Morgul Lord isn't any easier to sculpt than this. The fabric element would add to the cost since it is harder to engineer in order to make it look good.

Take it from someone who used to be in the industry, the prices are getting out of hand across the board with almost all companies.

Don't know what to tell ya. I don't find the price to bee too much for me. I feel like I'm getting my monies worth. I'm sure both items are difficult in their own way but I think this is a bit more.

Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

The easy thing to do is vote with your wallet. The $25 price bump is not appreciated, especially since something like Boromir has a lot more on him (flag, stone wall).

I'll pass on this one, as I still have my SS/W WKTF. for the record, the original WKTF also wears his ring.

Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

I don't know how an extra $25 over the Ringwraith Statue this can be justified. Their pricing is getting ridiculous.

The Morgul lord PF was only $15 more than this :slap

why did they increase the price to 275? this statue is no more complex than the rest, it's actually simpler than many of the fellowship piece.

just keep squeezing us for all we are worth...

Agreed.
But unlike many here who just complain but do nothing, I am voting with my wallet. Maybe one customer not ordering is totally insignificant, but still, I choose not to order.
For the record - Yes Sideshow, your price, the TBD, and the NRD are a total turn-off.

Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

Nice piece. Price is high for this IMO. Then again, all prices are too high anymore.

We can all thank Hot Toys and their 12" explosion of prices for this and all collectibles prices now-a-days, IMO.

Pretty much why I am sticking to one line now.

Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

Don't think I'll order this for a while. Boromir and Gandalf were much more material and they were 240$ and 250$. 25$ bump is ridiculous considering how it's sized relative to the others. I'd be afraid to see what they would charge for the Snow Troll if it was released for pre-order today.

Re: Witch-King in True Form Statue

I'm holding off on this one. I have the Witchking Ex on pre-order, so I'm okay w/out this one. While I agree with most regarding the higher price, it isn't a deal-breaker for me. I'm happy with one or the other, and I prefer the hooded WK. Plus, I'm starting to run short on space, and there is no way I'm missing out on the hobbits!

It is nice, but the price hikes are getting to be a bit much. Selling all my LOTR statues and getting back to my SW focus. I'm going to keep one piece and am currently debating between the ringwraith or Gandalf?

is the twlight witching king in the movies? i dont remember seeing him and cant find any movie scene photo of him.

It was released last year at a $25 bump from the cave troll and IMO that was a steal. It should be been closer to $400 with the size and detail involved. I personally would have charged $275 for the Ringwraith so I think they went $25 too low for that. I think after con pictures some will see why this is worth the $.

dude, really? you're kidding right? :dunno

Fellowship of the Ring, attack on Weathertop while Frodo has the ring on, WiKi stabs him before Aragorn rescues him.

Don't blame you. At these prices, you can't afford to collect too many lines (at least I can't). I'd keep Gandalf, he represents the LOTR trilogy as well as the Hobbit very nicely.

If the price had jumped $75-100 I could agree but this is a $25 price jump. As I've said I think you can see the difference but obviously others don't which is fine. I'm just the opposite I'd ditch SW in a second and might as we get more LOTR and The Hobbit items.

Keep Gandalf and sell me your Ringwraith. :wave
