Just got mine as well and it has about 6-8 small chips and 1 missing quill  I asked for replacement unmasked head and body but from the looks of it I am taking the full refund, :rotfl @ their $25 discount.

From listening to some peoples accounts of receiving damaged Wolfs, I don't think replacements are really an option for such expensive and limited statues.

The only viable option is to just get a full refund. Chances are, others will arrive the same way. It doesn't sound like the packaging is the best on these Wolfs. Shame!

It makes it even worse when some got darn near perfect Wolfs, but others don't.

To me, SS needs to make these expensive $2000 statues completely domestic and in house. In addition, they need to get the top painters in the industry to paint them up they way they should be, and in addition, they need to take extra care in packaging them. Lastly, for these super expensive statues, they need to be extremely limited to a very small number like 150 max OR make them on an individual basis as they receive each new order.

I know this would alienate a few potential buyers that really would like an LSF, but just don't have the money (which means you don't need it anyway). But to me, this is one of the best ways to ensure a customer receives the highest quality product possible (both paint and sculpt and QC wise).

You guys all sound surprised you got an expensive statue and had issues with it or broken peices. That sucks but...
This is Sideshow after all :rotfl
Doesn't surprise me. They can't and won't all be winners, with something this fragile.

But maybe they will sell the damaged ones for half price if many of you send them back and I'll pick one up and live with it lol
JK lol

people that ask for these to be super limited are kidding themselves. I know SS isn't CM, but even CM can sell 500-1000 of some of their 2k pieces and the scale is smaller. SS knows that. The CM Pred has an ES of around 600 by looking at the numbers. The reason why prices are so high is cause most won't sell cause the quality is that good. It is possible to get something this big and detailed from a factory cause CM was able to do it. Hiring pro painters isn't cost effective at all.

So what's the real deal with this statue.. I really want to buy this but all this love/hate for this is confusing... Does anyone love this statue??? I guess I should call Sideshow on Monday and find out about the return or replacement policy.. From what I'm reading here it seems like if you have a broken one there are no replacement parts, but either a $25.00 settlement fee or out and out return...... for a $2000.00 statue..yikes ???? Help!

I don't have one, BUT I'd caution you to stay away from this. If the inaccuracy of the leg netting doesn't bother you then the $2,000 price tag should! :lecture IMO it's simply not worth that.

Thanks Marf.. it looks great in those youtube vids.. my jury is still out on this ...... I'm also thinking of maybe the IM LSF.. Changing my direction and was looking for a few nice larger movie related statues.

The guys on youtube seem to have gotten good ones...and seem to love the piece.

Even CM have QC issues with their statues. It's their customer service that gives people confidence in ordering $2K statues. I'm not surprised that there are some QC issues with the Wolf, but a little shocked by SS customer service's response.

I was also told "no replacement" from Sideshow. Pretty much a take it or leave it situation with this piece.

This is what I fear with mine. I wonder if Sideshow is going to cut the production of this figure short since so many pieces are coming up damaged. I just hope if mine has any flaws, its something very minor. Going to cry if there is any cracked pieces or paint chips :(:monkey2

I can't figure out why with one of their "elite" lines they offer no replacements and offer less help than with say a PF or even 1/6 figure.

I am not sticking up for them when I say this but I feel they have a very limited supply of this and are finding out rather fast that many are coming in damaged. I think they feel it easier just to give a refund. My question is...with such an expensive piece, will sideshow try to repair the returned ones and resell them?

Poor planning then. :monkey2

Even with all that has happened I still want this piece. :monkey3
