for people that have to pay sales tax, try closer to $2500 for a 1/4 piece with no ES.

To Australia it would be about $2700 with duty and shipping. Local retailers have the Wolverine LSB for $2200 which is pretty sweet "considering" how much extra it costs to collect SS and be overseas. Hopefully this will be the same price. Gonna order both of them. :yess:

agree with everything, just 1 correction the optimus ex was not sold out in an hour :) nor days, it took weeks or months, dont remember the exact duration.

I was told by many collectors here that the EX was sold out in hours, they set it for 100 but then they added 50 more. I was not a collector back then so i missed the EX. The regular took a while to sale but not the EX.

wish I was rich like you man. I'm waiting to see if the RWOS will be turned into a LSF, if it is, I have to choose between Wolf and that one, but I know someone I can get these for $2k including shipping and taxes.

Yea I got an ex, and I was rush to po that ex and since there is more waiting list, they add 50 more, and it was sold out and never come back for po.

really? i could swore it took forever. my mistake

It's cool, there was a server meltdown and a ____ load of :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 to SS about it and then the edition size increase bull____ they pulled.
Unfortunately Optimus looks like the swansong for the super limited edition pre order adrenaline rush. I miss the old days.

Good luck to those who gets this figure.. I won't get it because its not worth $2k in my opinion. I bought the Alien Big Chap recently and most ppl knows theres going to be some imperfection on it. so I dont trust SS quality control too much. I'll be surprised if this thing sells out if SS produce 500 or more. :gah:

they're made to order pretty much, there is no selling out for years and years to come.

I'm not rich, just REALLY ____ing dedicated :lol
Also pretty lucky that at the moment the Aussie $ is at $1.05 US. When I started collecting SS back in '05 our $ was $0.65 :horror so SS is 40% cheaper for me now than what it was. If our $ was worth that now there is no way I would be able to swing this.
It will be interesting to see where the RROS will fall and Sauron is going to be a LSF. I've decided to drop the LOTR line to focus on other lines :(

Is this really 1/3? Looks more like 1/4 scale to me.

So is the figure looks to be 18 inches high. If he stood straight up, instead of the crouched stance, he would probably be 21 inches tall. Perfect 1:4 scale height, for a 7 foot tall Predator.

the only other piece I wanted to complete my LOTR collecting is the RWOS, so I'm praying it will just be a pf, but it's obvious SS has turned their backs on the collectors with these BS prices. I'm going to just get the Weta Sauron, I know a local guy who has one for $150 at 24in, compared to $2500 shipped for the LSF.

I don't normally like to use tough language but this is a rip off in price. Especially when you add import taxes. And if you use any points on it you lose out on the €100 worth of points when buying this in the normal way without points.

If it had been 1/3 scale absolutely it would be worth $2000 as it would be comparable to the cinemaquette. But this is the same scale as the SWS maquette which is 1/4 and only cost $999. Twice the price? Really?

So without the added height of the whip, it's only about 26" tall? This isn't even close to their LSF line! BS Sideshow! This is little more than an overglorified 1:4 scale PF on a tall base! Anyone who forks out 2K on this is getting raked! You can get those Tricorce Marcus Fenix busts that are 29" tall for $350! Your products aren't that great.

Is this really 1/3? Looks more like 1/4 scale to me.

And the announcement of these LSF were that they were going to be 1:2 scale. So anything under that should not be considered a LSF and automatically assigned that 2K price tag, just because it's part of that line.

I tried putting the Weta Sauron on a LOTR PF base. It looked pretty good actually. I thought with a bit of work I could buy a Galadriel PF for $200, strip the top of the base and put the Weta Sauron base rocks and Sauron on it and have no need for the LSF. :wink1:
I want that steed...but once I cut the LOTR ties I kind of felt relieved.

yeah man this scale / price / LSF issue is BAD.

But i gotta say that 360 view is incredible.
