I'll be at sdcc this year, I will measure it myself if they allow it.

He'll be guarded by SS's top men.:panic:

Probably these guys:

They will shot you if you try to measure this thing :lol

We'll have to stick to the ultra-precise and relaiable comparsion chart of lines and silouettes that changes from one day to another.

This is the ultimate wolf piece of merch. shame its been priced out of thr market by 400$

Ok, how's this for logic. I'm using the sideshow apple to figure out the true height:

Rogue measures (with the standard head) 18" tall. In apples, she is 5.75 sideshow apples tall. Divide 18" by 5.75 and get 3.13. That would mean that the sideshow apple is 3.13" tall.

Wolf predator is about 10 sideshow apples tall. Multiply that by 3.13 and get a height of around 31" tall. These numbers for the wolf might not be perfectly accurate, but you get the point.

What do you guys think? Does this give justification of wolf being 31" tall?

For clarification, our Wolf Predator Legendary Scale Figure is 31" tall from the bottom of the base to the top of its head. The whip is not included in the product height as it is poseable. It is 1:3 scale.

Good thing for the clarification. I guess it is 1/3 scale after all. Either way i am going to wait for in hand pics to see if the final product comes anywhere close to the paint apps of the prototype. It's nice to see that Sideshow went ahead and correct the issue, wonder what would happen if we all said nothing about it (prob. be stuck with a 1/4 scale wolf predator).

Too bad these will look like crap displayed together.:slap

MaquetteComparison.jpg

It's slightly larger than 1/4, but I'd hardly say it's a true 1/3. More like 1/3.75.

Looks like it will go great with the Big Chap though.

I was looking forward to this, but it's way overpriced. It might be a bit bigger than the pred maquette, although it's so negligible that it's almost impossible to tell. It's still not anywhere worth what they want for it. Lost a sale with me Sideshow.

It seems Sideshow have updated the predator to measure from head to end of the base instead of the whip.

Indeed, they have. I was surprised that they are trying to cover up their scam so hastily that it seems more than obvious! :thud:

Or take pictures of it with an apple, like all apples are the same size.

What size are 'em damn Sideshow apples? Anyone?

:lol

But if SSC took over apple production, they'd say there's are the size of watermelons and charge us twice as much.

^^Which would be spread onto an even more conservative flex-plan! :lol

now that there is even more confusion, I'm just going to wait until SDCC, so someone can actually take a measuring tape up to this piece in person. I will then make my decision if I want to take the plunge on this. I wish I could go to see these up close.

Plz do. Will be highly appreciated. When is SDCC by the way?

This is not even 1/3.5 I guess. Its just a lil' over 1/4 as I was told. Will Sideshow go to such lengths that they'll alter the overall scale to 1/3 now that everyone is lashing out on them?? :dunno

Cheers,
Neo.

Decided to get this after all. Only problem is shipping costs to Australia. This piece weighs 20 kgs so any idea how much SS will charge?
A pf is around $70 - $80 to here so around $150 - $200?

Clarification? I have a clarification here too. I found by pure luck a pic of the P1 in perfect line with the IM, like the SDCC one.

Notice that I even oversized a bit the right image based on the point of reference (the IM 1:2) to clear all margins of doubt.

And now Sideshow tell me again please that this is 1/3 scale

i really think you guys should wait to see the inhand photos before ordering, what's the hurry? this thing will be on sale for years. And almost guaranteed to lose 10-20% value in the after market after release. Why give sideshow $400 now...

I will probably get this down the road at a discount off ebay or something, but honestly after this fiasco, my desire for this statue has gone down significantly.

I actually want the predator maquette more now, but afraid ss will release another version right after i paid $1500-2000 for it.

cant win with predators... :slap

guess i will just be happy with the 1/5 classic that's coming...for now.

yes yes...fail fail fail! i know...

This might be one of the best, most detailed wolf predator figure to date. That doesn't mean SS won't release more statue in the future. Waiting after release photos is good advice.

If Pop Culcha sell this for $1999 I will probably consider getting it. Sometimes with the more expensive items the prices are the same.
to Buy direct from sideshow it will be approx $2600 with shipping and VAT
