Wolf Predator Legendary Scale Figure

It doesn't help to take objects taken from two separate pictures and place them side by side to make size comparisons.
All the photoshops indicating height next to something can't be trusted as you can enlarge/resize at will.

The statue itself has to be positioned right next to something, that we already know the height of, and that pic must be taken in one frame.

Case in point:

SSC now changed their "Scale Representation" picture to show that the top of Wolf's head comes in at 31" when just yesterday it was the tip of the whip. :thud:

Shady. :panic:

:lecture FAIL!

Because both figures are not at the same distance to the lens of the camera.

This tells us nothing.

Bad Ass!

I believe that this is 1/3rd, but my attitude hasn't really changed in regards to ordering. I still will not preorder it for $2k with an open ES and I don't want to pay CA 9% tax. Will this be sold at online retailers like Alter-ego?

I don't think its 1/3 scale either.
Im sure whoever sculpted it is a moron and then Sideshow just threw out a number for the f___ of it .... :monkey1

31-7 (ht of base)=24 inches

does that translate to 1:3?

This is interesting!

Let's say that he is 24 inches, once we've taken away the base.
Because he's crouching, he could very well be 28" tall if standing.
If so, this will put him at 1/3 scale.

In my opinion, this Wolf LSF is slightly, just a tad slightly, bigger than 1/4 scale but definitely no where near 1/3 scale. In other words, scale-wise, it is neither here or there or as someone earlier in this thread said; its a WTF scale! :gah:

It will probably display better on its own or with other 1/4 scale figures. If display together with other 1/3 scale items, it will look like a midget. :slap

Surfer, you work for sideshow right? Can you get some pics of wolf next to a ruler? :lol

SS works for them.

I don't think they would want him to take the initiative to do that without their explicit instructions.

Heck, I'm surprised that Nathan even commented that its not 1:3

Kudos to u man. :clap

Clarification? I have a clarification here too. I found by pure luck a pic of the P1 in perfect line with the IM, like the SDCC one.

Notice that I even oversized a bit the right image based on the point of reference (the IM 1:2) to clear all margins of doubt.

And now Sideshow tell me again please that this is 1/3 scale

Wow, nice find and great comparison pics fu_manchu. It looks even closer to 1/4 scale from those pics.

i really think you guys should wait to see the inhand photos before ordering, what's the hurry? this thing will be on sale for years. And almost guaranteed to lose 10-20% value in the after market after release. Why give sideshow $400 now...

I will probably get this down the road at a discount off ebay or something, but honestly after this fiasco, my desire for this statue has gone down significantly.
.

Yeah, this will definitely be way cheaper down the road (just like ironman 1:2) and they will improve on the initial breakage and packaging issues from the first batch. Just like the initial 1/2 iron man had a lot of breakages issues at the start because of the thin casting.

:wave Fuzzy.

You getting this? I'd thinking if I should order direct or via ST.

Hey bro :wave nah probably not getting him atm, maybe if it comes up for way cheaper down the line. He doesn't really fit scalewise into my collection and I don't have space for a stand alone display. I'll also wait to see if they come up with a TRUE 1/2 scale predator product possibly with a light up function. To me $2k is overpriced for a 1/4 scale piece. I would rather get Wolverine with metal claws at 1/2 scale or Darth Maul with light up for that price. Neither of which I've picked up either.

What's the price on ST? I would wait tho and see some in hand pics, I'm wondering if ST will have him on display when he ships, I would like to see this in person.

No rush for this piece tho since it's open edition.

ST has this for preorder @ SGD$2508 for Elite members
Once preorder window closes it goes to SGD$2787

Hence the need to decide earlier :monkey2
