It doesn't help to take objects taken from two separate pictures and place them side by side to make size comparisons.
All the photoshops indicating height next to something can't be trusted as you can enlarge/resize at will.

The statue itself has to be positioned right next to something, that we already know the height of, and that pic must be taken in one frame.

Case in point:

SSC now changed their "Scale Representation" picture to show that the top of Wolf's head comes in at 31" when just yesterday it was the tip of the whip. :thud:

Shady. :panic:

This is tedious. SO tedious. All of this crap would be solved in a second if they show us a pic with the previous maquette. Like they do with other releases, they throw in from time to time some pics comparing new stuff to the old pieces.

I think is pretty obvious why they don't do that. I'm sorry but I wont believe Sideshow anymore, they can tell me now that this is 1:3.5 or 1:3, or 1:2 that I wont believe them. So they can change that comparsion chart the times they want.

Like when they advert the recent Alien 3 statue as 1:5 scale, I have it and it's not even 1:6 scale. Not a big deal compared to this monster of overpricement but that gives you an idea of the new marketing strategy here.

now that there is even more confusion, I'm just going to wait until SDCC, so someone can actually take a measuring tape up to this piece in person. I will then make my decision if I want to take the plunge on this. I wish I could go to see these up close.

It's not too expensive, it's just not worth what they're asking. Heck, my wife's 2nd diamond ring cost more than this.

Now the life size figures are expensive.

i wonder if ss is going back to the drawing board and enlarging this thing to 1/3 after realizing what a colossal misstep they took. I mean they cant really go back on their word and say it's 1/4, nor reduce the price, nor make it non-lsf. Only option is to make it actually 1/3 if it's not.

Either that or the guys at last year's sdcc is wrong, and the ss employee who released the original scale photo is also wrong..

either way, epic fail.

Who cares if they go back and make it an accurate 1/3 scale. That would fall into there maquette lines, which don't go for 2K. 1:2 or bust, Sideshow, 1:2 or bust.
