I'm done after the Doom LSF...wont be able to finance any new pieces. If you do see me pick new stuff up then its purely down to selling parts of my collection to raise the funds. Unfortunately, this hobby is incredibly difficult to maintain year in year out, especially when you have a family and bills to pay, plus the factor of not having the space to display everything comes into it too! For me personally, i have go through my collection and sieve through all the pieces that are must keeps and then say goodbye to the rest...its a fact that as every Comic Con that goes by each year its guaranteed that something will be unveiled that you just have to have! typical!

Ha only kidding I more than understand where your both coming from. With other hobbies & obviously family, bills & space it's nearly impossible to keep up. Well I've finally got my Hulk ordered (Panet Hulk PF) so that's another massive character ticked off my list.
I'll stick to my rules of buying only one statue of each character I want & only in 1/4 scale & go from there. The hardest thing is being on these boards, you can so easily impulse buy because of reading threads on here etc.

Yeah I've got a list world war hulk was on it and this hulk is everything I wanted and more. It may not be world war hulk but the weapons and shield wow.

I haven't got much of a must have list left now. Marvel wise a 1/4 Brown Wolverine, Comic Iron Man, Sentry & Dare Devil
DC wise Wonder Woman, Flash & Aquaman
There is other characters I would quite like but SS will have to impress me. Like Dr Strange, Antman, Shazam, Martian Man etc I won't ever be out of this hobby completely because I enjoy it to much. Things like the rumoured modern Thor I will have to like more than the Classic Thor PF because it would be a case of one in one out.

I find sticking to one scale & choosing a favourite line helps. I love 1/4 as its perfect for me but by the way you talk about 1/2 that's probably the scale for you. There'll probably only be one piece you want a year in that size so it shouldn't be so demanding.
I was looking at the Marvel, DC rumoured lists & there was so much I wanted & that's when I thought I can't keep this up. So I wiped off all the possible CQ's, I've decided to not collect any villains & my huge list went down to just Wonder Woman, Shazam & possibly Thor but like I said if I do buy Thor I'll sell my other Thor PF because I'll only have one piece to represent each character. I'm not saying for you to do exactly what I've done but I'm sure you can cut right back as this hobby can spiral completely out of control. It happened to me when I was collecting 1/6 figures & it eventually ruined the hobby for me so I sold my whole collection off but went on to missing it. I got into comic PF's which has led me here

I thought SSC arent making Comiquettes anymore Steve? Are you sure its 1/5? I have the Comic Iron Man Comiquette Exclusive (the one where he is holding the flag) and as much as i like that one i would kill for another one to be made but in a more action pose! Infact, i'm holding out for anything Iron Man related at this years Con...as i sold my Iron Man and War Machine Maquettes last year i really need either a new 1/4 maquette (MK42 preferably from IM3) or even better a MKVII 1:2 from the Avengers!

Yeah there's a lot of confusion around about that but Premium Format means 1/4 obviously but they can be clothed or fully sculpted. Hence Green Lantern, Posion Ivy & Spiderwoman.
But Rhino will be the last 1/4 CQ all others from now on will be 1/5. Like the new Spider-Man SS are working on.
About Iron Man. We know SS are supposed to be working on an Extremis suit like pictured in the calendar but it sounds like it's going to be a CQ which isn't any good to me

The after effects of ordering one of my favourite pieces in my collection...got my import tax bill from FEDEX last night
Total cost of figure:$1999/GBP1290
Total shipping cost:$75/GBP50
Total cost of import tax:$434/GBP280
TOTAL COST:$2508/GBP1620
On a brighter note, if i'd purchased it locally it would have cost me in total: $2790/GBP1799 plus i get the benefits of rewards points i guess...
Now bring on DOOM LSF!!!!

Man, do you think we'll ever see a Hulk LSF? It'll be a bigg'n! I for one dont think we will, the new LSF's at this years SDCC will Batman, Indiana Jones and possibly...possibly, a new Iron Man LSF

I would love to see a Spider LSF and a Hulk LSF but I think it's almost impossible Sideshow doing a 1:2 Hulk. I only have Wooverine LSF and the box is huge and heavy. Not to mention the statue comes in parts what cannot happen with Hulk. Maybe you can separate the upper body from the lower body but that's all you can do.
