Well, the dude was supposed to be dying of cancer. He gets an artificial healing factor produced from Wolverine's blood. At first it looks like it has worked...but then the cancer mixes with the healing factor, and while the cancer won't kill him, and his healing factor prevents death, it mangles his body (appearance only) and mind.

SO that image is acceptable if its the initial reaction to the healing factor. Plus, since he also goes insane, the swords in his hands could be a result of him trying to mimic wolverine by shoving swords in his forearms and letting them heal over.

That makes sense. Hopefully it's just a crappy figure and not crappy character design.

Agreed! Ineterstingly, it looks like his mouth is growing shut. Which, while not comic accurate, is an interesting interpretation of the healing factor going haywire. Quite Ironic since he's known as "The Merc with the Mouth"

Yeaaah no. He gets laser eyes, a stiched mouth, and all kinds of other ^^^^. No cancer. No nothing.

WOO OMG DEADPOOL!111......haha.

Dude he looks like Baraka from Mortal Kombat

There is some good news about the Deadpool debacle:

The weird, bald mutant that looks like Baraka probably ISN'T Deadpool! It's likely Weapon XI, a new mutant played by actor Scott Adkins (IMdb page).

from these screenshots taken from the newest trailer, you can tell that the actor playing the bald mutant isn't Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the movie:

I think Hasbro probably just mislabeled their toy packages. However, none of the above are concrete info, but it gives us hope.

Here's the newest trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Normally I'd just use embed, but it doesn't seem to work for this vid.

PLEASE let that be true!! "The Merc with the Mouth" shouldnt be mouthless :monkey2. My worry is that Weapon XI used to BE Deadpool. In other words, Deadpool signs up for some experiment and gets turned into Franken-mutant.

WTF. I sure hope your right about that not being deadpool. If it is deadpool, why in the hell would Marvel allow that. Its a bad character design either way. Unbelievable.

Because Marvel has no say over what Fox does. Same goes for Sony. So anything related to X-Men and Spidey, Marvel no longer has the film rights for. Oh same goes for Fantastic Four but that's dead now.

Why would Marvel basically use the Super Skrull concept, one of the Fantastic Four's greatest villains, on Human Torch? Why would Marvel show Galactus as a cloud? Why would they cram the Symbiote saga into a 2 hour feature that involved killing Venom a mere 10 minutes after introducing him? Why would they give Mary Jane the bridge falling scene only to introduce Gwen two movies later? Why would Marvel allow Wolverine to be casted almost 6' tall? Why would Marvel allow Matt Murdock to sleep in a hyberbolic water coffin? Why would Marvel allow Professor X, Jean Grey and Cyclops to be killed off in what was supposed to be the last X-Men movie? Why would Marvel allow Angel to be introduced so young as well as Iceman therefore contradicting the original founding members? Why would Marvel allow Bruce Banner's father to be Absorbing Man?

The truth is they didn't. Marvel sells their properties and lose everything but basic rights over the portrayals which is one of the reasons they created Marvel Studios to have 100% complete control unlike Marvel Films or Marvel Enterprises where they have collaboration rights but the studios have final say.

I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be Deadpool but I will be severely disappointed.

Just to add more fuel to the fire:

From Topless Robot:
"If you can't read that text (besides the big label reading "Deadpool"), it says ""With the ultimate mutant, Deadpool, on the loose, Logan and Victor Creed are forced to team up- or be destroyed." Tipster Kris emailed me to let me know that text is actually a sticker. Want to know what's under it? Text which reads:

"The Weapon 11 program has created the ultimate mutant-DEADPOOL! As the mutant menace rampages across Three Mile Island, Logan and Victor Creed are forced to team up--or be destroyed."

In summary: Weapon XI is scarred Deadpool played by Scott Adkins. With claws. Enjoy."

yes, from what I read, ryan reynolds plays deadpool before he's scarred, and he has a body double for that. but once he becomes scarred with the powers, the actor who plays him is scott adkins, because of his raw physical skill, he can do things that the other stunt doubles can't, there for he will play deadpool when he is scarred.
