There is some good news about the Deadpool debacle:

The weird, bald mutant that looks like Baraka probably ISN'T Deadpool! It's likely Weapon XI, a new mutant played by actor Scott Adkins (IMdb page).

from these screenshots taken from the newest trailer, you can tell that the actor playing the bald mutant isn't Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the movie:

I think Hasbro probably just mislabeled their toy packages. However, none of the above are concrete info, but it gives us hope.

Here's the newest trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Normally I'd just use embed, but it doesn't seem to work for this vid.

I'm doing something that I rarely do. Pray. I'm praying that you're right and that isn't Deadpool. If it is, prepare for the fans, myself included, to wail like chimps and hurl fistfuls of feces at Fox for the outrage... I know this sounds odd, but I'm really proud of my impromptu alliteration in that last sentence. :lol

How hard is it to make a good movie that stays at least CLOSE to the comics? I mean there are over 50 years of stories to draw from....shouldnt ONE of those stories be adaptable to a movie without taking rediculous liberties?

I agree with HS as if you want to have a character in the movie because people are big fans why change him. That cannot be Deadpool as him without a mouth would be like Earth without air. He is after all "The Merc with a Mouth". I still have hope.

Certain smaller changes I can accept and understand. Giving Spider-man organic webbing in the movies for example. It makes sense, and would be difficult to explain the web-fluid tech. Other changes though...it seems like the studios change things for the sake of changing them....

I'll agree, often now screenwriters are given license to run amok. A lighter leash needs to be held. A shame, and I'm going to hold out hope that the mutant in the pictures is NOT Deadpool.

I have an idea for the NEXT Wolverine movie that I think the Studio can really get behind.

Ok...So instead of adamantium coated claws on his hands, lets give him three banana claws on each hand. And then we can team him up with a chimpanzee who's always trying to EAT the claws! Then instead of a "healing factor" lets give him breast implants that attract rich doctors....

Throw in a time-traveling pie, and you have yourself a winner. :lol

I'm pretty excited for this, too. Nothing has really blown me away from what I've seen but Jackman is born to play the role so hopefully it'll be a good time. And hopefully Hot Toys will make a ridiculous Logan figure.

I have no doubt that it will be a fun movie. Just wish they didnt destroy a character to drive the plot.

yeah it seem that the screenwriters are given liberty to write without even knowing the content material they are working with. i also agree that certain things should be changed for the movies (spiderman's web shooters would've been really stretching it on screen)

I can't wait to see this and it looks great to me. I go to movies to enjoy them, not pick them apart. Most movies don't follow the comic or book.

I want a Hot Toys Wolverine/Logan played by Hugh Jackman!! Interchangable hands with or without claws!

Theres a big difference between changing the character, and doing a complete 180.

Theres no excuse for Deadpool. Not even a bit.

As played by Ryan Reynolds he's fine, but let's hope he isn't Weapon XI. The actor playing XI was also a stunt double for Reynolds... so... :dunno

Here's hoping Deadpool stays as the merc with a mouth.

Couldnt care less about deadpool.hope he die quickly in the movie.

And I would definitely get Wolverine and Sabretooth figures... hell, I'd get a Stryker too. You never see any Stryker love, do you? I know the guy isn't out there in hand to hand combat with Wolverine, but he's still important to the story. Those three figures and I'd be just fine, though there are sooooooo many others we can, and in all likelihood, will see from this movie. Gambit, Deadpool, Weapon XI, Agent Zero, and Wraith, to name a few. I bet they'd have a hell of a time with a Blob. :lol
