I think this is unacceptable from Sideshow and even these items being made in China they should have a better quality control. Just my opinion!
I am in Canada and I bought it from Corner Store as I did not mind Logan' head. It would be a problem to contact CS to contact SS for a hand replacement. I think most people out of US do not een bother complaining about these small problems.

Define "better quality control". This is a nebulous phrase that we as collectors throw around whenever we find an issue with something we purchase. Even though we all know there is not one mass manufacturer that is going to achieve 100% perfection on a given product line. I agree that SS should do everything in it's power to prevent damaged pieces from getting to your home. But let's not forget "shipping factor". The various shipping companies sometimes just throw these pieces around when moving or transporting them...therefore issues will arise regarding damaged pieces.

I understand your frustration, but unfortunately this is risk we all assume as collectors. I hope you can get SS to assist you with replacing the hand.

I was not talking about damaged pieces. I am talking about bad painting, bad sculpts(teeth and eyes) like some members are getting or just the positioning of claws. I remember 1 guy saying his PF had 1 claw bigger than the other 2 on the same hand.
These kind of stuff can be easily verified.
I fixed the problem of the claws with small pliers but I was very scared to break the claw joint.

Agreed. I am a manager for a Quality and safety company that oversees and ensures proper quality control for a well-known toy producer.

Sometimes you can't avoid the damages that occur during shipping no matter how well you pack a product. On the other hand, I've seen one SS Wolvie PF at my local LCS that had a horrible paint app. The skin on his arms was incredibly dark, yet his facial skin tone seemed fine. There is absolutely no excuse for a piece such as this to have passed QC. (If the piece is still at my LCS when i go back I'll take a pic.)

My Wolvie EX is scheduled to arrive on Thursday...hope its in good shape!

Hey I just joined and ordered quite a few PF. My Gambit EX and Wolverine EX shipped together. The one that I was most interested in was Sabretooth. My status still shows Reservation Submitted. Does that mean I probably won't be receiving the Sabretooth?

I have Ms Marvel and Thanos Diorama as Processing. Gambit and Wolverine shipped, and Sabretooth is still Reservation Submitted as of May 2010. If someone cancels can they choose who they want to give it to?

that's a negative. your best bet is to probably post in the thread that if anyones looking at cancelling to let you know and you'll take their order. which means they still keep it coming, but you'll have to pay shipping to them and then to yourself.

sometimes it works, i've gotten quite a few items off of fellow freaks.

I think youre right. But thats all going to change when people get the Sabretooth and realize they will need Wolverine to accompany it and demand goes up. The unmasked head will look much better displayed with Sabre

I was so happy when my Wolverine PF converted from Sideshow . BUT !!! This morning i got a call from New Zealand Custom !!! They charged me $120 NZD for custom fees WTF ...I dont think gonna buy straight from SS again better go to the Evil Bay. I bought so many stuff from Ebay and from this forum i never get caught but no luck this time .... Did anyone got rip off by their customs? Did anyone pay more than $100 for custom fees?

Whats up with the new zealand customs there?
In Australia you can purchase collectables/toys up to a value of $1000 AUD without being charged customs fees.
Over $1000, then you have to pay stamp duty, $48 processing fee i think and GST 10%!!
Being that Wolverine is nowehre near $1000 i am wandering what the NZ customs law is on these?

Yea thanks i already checked, i add up everything it turns out to be around $120 thats what they charged me on my credit card. I was so surprise when i reliased i just lost $120 on my credit card account. This is so crazy guys. Its my first time i buy straight from SS and i should have do some research before buying

I have had quite a few defective PF's from SS direct and they are always very helpful to send out replacements/parts.
if you go through ebay, you might end up saving some bucks on customs fees, but on the off chance you get a defective statue, you might not be able to get replacement parts..

Man that Logan PF is just the most horrible PF to date for me.
