Yeah how did you do it?
Just a bit of styling gel and patience. It took some finesse though.
You’ve done a great job taming that hair. This is why I mostly prefer rooted. Trying to pose the head on the 84 figure is awful.
I agree, the sculpted hair is beautiful but too restrictive. And since the synthetic hair allows the head to sit a little lower, she no longer has that crazy giraffe neck.

That would be nice upgrade head for the Sideshow figure. Would be cool if it had alternate hair pieces to switch between the open look like that and one with parts of the hair in front of the shoulders similar to the HT sculpted hair head. Very nice work nonetheless :clap
Thank you. Yeah it was based on a comic illustration. I kinda want to make an alternate hair, but it really will hinder the head movement. It will be like sits there lol. With the flowing hair I think it would look dynamic and good for poses. Besides, I don't have a lot of people interested in this so no alternates for now :D
She's gone Super Saiyan
Yep ready to fight with the Z warriors

Like I said, nice figure but looks nothing like Gadot.

To those who have had this thing since release, hows the body holding up?

Bumping this question as I’m wondering the same. Any reports at all of tearing/cracking? I have the Mandalorian Ahsoka Tano now and am curious how durable the new silicone bodies are and this figure has been out longer.

Double bumping this question as it’s been around nearly a year since release (wow, where does the time go?! ).

Hopefully within the next decade it needn’t be answered:

whether it’s just rotting away untouched on the shelf already 🤪

:lol

Wonder Woman ‘84 is absolutely wonderful!!! Color me impressed :) She’s overall a great figure indeed; this one’s certainly, to me, an improvement over the previous figure versions of this armor. The seamless overlay feels good and tough, it definitely seems durable and like it’ll fare better. I’m just sooo happy with this WW figure😃😃

I did run into a minor issue - One of the gripping hands split apart in the middle when I attempted to spread apart the fingers to insert a sword. (The hands seem to be made of a bit firmer plastic this time around.) The HT glue gave out, but no biggie I’ll just apply some stronger glue.

Does anyone know how to remove the outfit from the body? I saw this body is much different from the previous ones as the torso is one piece.

Looks like you need to remove the legs first by pulling them out of their sockets (horizontal). Then it looks like you can pull the outfit downwards to get it off (vertical).

Not quite. The armor can't make it over the slight widening of the hip section. But the body can separate at the torso/hip joint. Use the legs and slowly pull down, and the hip ball will detach from the torso socket, then the armor can be pulled down and off the upper body. You could remove the legs first, but it's really hard to pop that hip section off without them.

I had to deconstruct mine when I repainted the armor (the skirt fabric is from the JL figure).

I got the JLA and 84 WW and was just planning on using the 84 HS on the JLA as I prefer sculpted hair and the JLA armor colors.

She looks really good like that.
But our of curiosity I wanted to use the 84 body with the JLA full armor. I didn't use the 84 hands as just like the bracers they are too big.
The 84 body is a tad bigger but I fitted the jla armor just by warming it and a good push.

Thing is that the 84 arms don't seem to stay as close to the body as the JLA, giving a weird slithly open arms pose.

Is there any real advantage to use the WW84 body? Save for the obvious color matching with the HS. Is it proves yo be better quality?

I'm I temperate climate never had issues with my phicen Arnold Schwarzenegger bodies for exemple.

As some of the guys in here have previously done, I tried a Golden Armor headsculpt on the 1984 body. I like it a lot, even though I think the headsculpt with sculpted hair looks really good, I think I prefer how this figure looks with the rooted hair of the Golden Armor sculpt.

That said, what (if anything) are you guys using to control the sort of frizziness at the bottom of her hair? I don’t have this issue with my GOTG2 Gamora or CW Black Widow so not sure how to tame the hair. I realize that it won’t be perfect just want to see if I can make it look a bit more natural with some product or something.

Btw in case you are wondering I took these pics in the basement on my kids’ work bench, hence the Leggos 😁

The WW84 body is using a newer/updated silicone material instead of the less durable rubber of the previous figures. So, if you haven't had trouble with previous rubber armed HT figures like Thor or some of the female figures w/ exposed rubber arms, then this WW84 body should theoretically be even more durable and lasting than those.
