You're right it does! I just thought of that too, but it's the grittiness of it that makes the setting, it feels like a World War. Why was everyone so happy and smiley in CA:TFA? It was WWII!

Because it was made in the spirit of Raiders and The Last Crusade, not Schindler's List.

I was just gonna say, if you hate color in WWII and happy people, then RAIDERS must really suck. It makes First Avenger look dreary as hell.

I liked First Avenger alright, but it was too long, a bit slow for repeat viewings, and Red Skull was silly.

It's nothing close to the spirit of Raiders. That's just silly! Raiders was entertaining, had great writing, a fast plot, and didn't take itself too seriously. All things TFA didn't do. TFA is unintentionally cringey and didn't eve realize it. It tried too hard and failed.

I liked First Avenger alright, but it was too long, a bit slow for repeat viewings, and Red Skull was silly.

I don't hate the flick, out of the MCU it's my least favorite. So much potential... lost.

I'd take those two flicks in a heart beat over the first avengeturd, at least they move a long at a decent pace.

Iron Man 2 is underappreciated anyways.

I would put the three of those on the same level. . .but I think Thor 2 and Ironman 2 are both under-rated.
