I too loved '89 Bats and Batman Returns, but to me they don't hold to being good movies when watching them today... We need to remember though to put movies in perspective to the time they were released, and what they were comparable to at that time. I still love Reeve's Supes 1 & 2, but watching them today they are a bit corny and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane gets on my nerves.
I thought the 1st X-Men was great back when too, but now can't stand any of Singers X-movies since with newer subsequent comic movies that are much more accurate to the source material today. Raimi's Spider-Man 1 & 2 I think were the 1st to show that truly good accurate comic book movies could be made and be successful.
Very few movies truly hold the test of time, where they can be viewed many years later and still feel relative and current. Not too many I can name, a short list.

Even as a kid, I felt he was a much better Clark than he was a Kal. I can still watch both though, so I take back calling it crap.

STM origin story remains king of superhero movie origin stories with BB coming 2nd.
Nicholson Joker is king of superhero movie villains who's only equal is Ledger Joker, go figure.
I already know WW villain won't surpass those 2 Jokers but her origin story is where the praise is coming from, plus some of the modern action beats.

Loki is good, Nicholson Joker is timeless.
Just the quotable lines alone makes him king, he is the Vader of superhero villains.

I'm the opposite of a DC fan so that explains it, LOL.
I did enjoy Batman 89 though, mostly due to Keaton and Nicholson.

No way it was gonna stay that high... Very very few movies are that good!! Most people won't see it till Friday or Saturday.. Many many more reviews to come, and slowly more accurate it would seem.

Just came back from seeing WW. I gotta say, even though I loved SS when it came out, this movie is easily a hundred times better. I absolutely ****ing love this movie. Gal Gadot is the perfect Wonder Woman and Chris Pine's Steve Trevor was awesome as well. A solid 9/10 after first viewing.
The theater audience on the other hand... I have never witnessed these so-called "feminazis" in real life, until today. Disgusting people, and I don't go around saying people are disgusting, but a couple of these women were like really ****ing disgusting by the way they acted. Some of them gave me bad looks and **** for no reason. One of them even farted really loudly in a silent part of the movie I've never heard anyone fart in a movie theatre, and it's not really that big of deal, but that mother****er stank.

Only 100x better than Suicide Squad? Stinker in my book. Sorry, Jerry. Not the best baseline.
