Just came back from seeing WW. I gotta say, even though I loved SS when it came out, this movie is easily a hundred times better. I absolutely ****ing love this movie. Gal Gadot is the perfect Wonder Woman and Chris Pine's Steve Trevor was awesome as well. A solid 9/10 after first viewing.

The theater audience on the other hand... I have never witnessed these so-called "feminazis" in real life, until today. Disgusting people, and I don't go around saying people are disgusting, but a couple of these women were like really ****ing disgusting by the way they acted. Some of them gave me bad looks and **** for no reason. One of them even farted really loudly in a silent part of the movie :lol I've never heard anyone fart in a movie theatre, and it's not really that big of deal, but that mother****er stank.

:lol :lol :lol

I hope the movie is good. I love a lot of comic characters from all of the companies and am happy that we are getting some decent movies. I hoe a good spawn movie comes one day. The hbo series was good. Punisher I am happy they finally seem to have right on Netflix.

Blueberry you literally gave no good example why they were feminazis...farting doesn't count that's normal lol

My wife is no feminazis and her farts kill me.
Sounds like she's a closet feminazi to me. Beware and be forewarned! If she casually suggests burning down your state legislature and blaming it on that communist Difabio, run for the hills.

the few negative reviews are still praising Gadot as Wonder Woman

I liked her limited screen time in BvS and never doubted her casting... I'm excited to see if I think she pulls off the entire film.

I'm taking my wife along tonight, i'm protected. :yess:

Well played by WB though, this manufactured "controversy" is actually creating "good" PR for the movie.

Well that is until a man decides to shoot up the place in a crowded theater.

That is all true, and something folks should understand if they don't about RT. But, there is real value to that site. I used to follow a more informal version of this before RT existed, by scanning the reviews that were out there before making a decision. So, they just systematically formalize that process. If this got a 20 or 30 score, I probably wouldn't see it. Particularly since I didn't enjoy any of the DC WB films post-Dark Knight Rises (and even that one didn't blow me away). As it stands, the generally positive reception, plus T-Mobile Tuesday giving my wife and I $4 tickets, contributed to my decision to actually see it tonight.

Of course, you get the arguments that no one should rely on anyone's opinion but their own. But personally, I just don't have the time or energy to roll the dice every time out. Too little free time and too many other things to do. I'll see any X-Men movie, even if it gets horrible reviews (and frankly, even Apocalypse didn't get terrible reviews, though reading the boards you would think that it did), because I love the X-Men. Same goes for Spidey and Batman. But just about any other comic-based character or team I can be persuaded one way or the other based on the critical consensus. And even with Batman, I might not go to see JL because I hate the Snyder approach. Even if the RT score is reasonably high. I wouldn't have see Shyamalan's Split without a consensus positive viewpoint by reviewers and boardies here, because the vast bulk of his films are terrible. But it did get a good score, I saw it, and I enjoyed it. That's a process that works for me.

Rotten tomatoes destroyed baywatch and it ruined pirates of the Caribbean

As of four weeks ago, Pirates was reportedly expected to rake in $90-$100 million over the four-day holiday, and Baywatch was projected to gross $50 million over five days. Those estimates were slashed after the Rotten Tomatoes scores posted. (In the end, Pirates made $77 million and Baywatch grossed $23 million in the US and Canada.) But Dwayne Johnson, who stars in Baywatch, publicly called out critics and then schooled them on movie economics.

Didn't read the article, but I don't think it did. Baywatch looked like it might be funny, but all people remember is a show with hawt chicks and the Hoff. Pirates, is the 5th movie and truth be told, they are all pretty much the same movie.

Insiders close to both films blame Rotten Tomatoes, with Pirates 5 and Baywatch respectively earning 32% and 19% Rotten. The critic aggregation site increasingly is slowing down the potential business of popcorn movies. Pirates 5 and Baywatch aren’t built for critics but rather general audiences, and once upon a time these types of films — a family adventure and a raunchy R-rated comedy — were critic-proof. Many of those in the industry severely question how Rotten Tomatoes computes the its ratings, and the fact that these scores run on [the movie-ticket buying site] Fandango (which owns RT) is an even bigger problem.

So people listened to the CRITICS and didn't go to see the most RAUNCHY & FUN movie of the summer? Man, that straight up sucks! Baywatch was #LITTY. Truly an R-RATED FLICK for the SUMMER. It's really a shame the BROS didn't band together to save Baywatch! Imagine all the PISS they could've produced! We could've used it as an alternative source of power! Damn CRITICS!

The fact of the matter is this: going to the movies is now so expensive that people are trying to make sure they're not going to waste their money on something before they go. If you do the 3D and you take your spouse and 2-3 kids for example, you could end up spending close to 100 bucks. Who wants to spend 100 bucks to see a movie and then everybody come out saying it sucked?

Now that's not me as I find whatever way I can to cut those prices down. I never see anything in 3D. I only take my wife and or one kid if we KNOW we all want to see it, otherwise, it might just be me/wife or me/friend of mine, etc. There are all sorts of ways to cut those prices down. But at the end of the day, unless you have tons of disposable time and income, you want to make sure you get your moneys worth. I know critical consensus makes a difference for me in going to see any non comic book movie or something I'm not already a fan of. Now, I'll watch whatever on tv/dvd/payper view/Netflix, etc. but going to the movie theatre is too costly to take chances for a working full time family man.

I liked it. I mean, it's not really good overall... but the fable and humor are great.
It's silly, OTT and awkward... but mostly in a good way. Mostly.

Chris Pine is awesome and his Steve Trevor's a very solid character.

And I love Ares. He's played by one of my favorite actors.
It was a good introduction to Gods before movin' on to JL.

Oh, and this is NOT Ares' design from the movie. :lol
