If feminism became a dirty word....is because they made it that way ... it is that simple. It is not a smart idea to antagonize, attack and yell at everybody.

I know all about the crazies, like that angry red headed lady on the internet, but I also think there's this predisposition to misdirect your ire from stupid people with a cause to the cause, itself, as opposed to those people for being stupid. At any rate, my point was that I think it's nice that these girls can go to a movie and feel inspired and see their heroes brought to life on the big screen after all these years.

It does makes me sad that those little kids are growing with the toxic form of the movement that is so popular now.
Even Jerry Seinfeld has talked about how his own daughters are getting corrupted by it.
But im glad the movie is good lol :lol

Just watched it tonight.

It is far better than dawn of justice for sure. But overall still a pretty average movie, it lacks the depth and story telling marvel movies do so well. I really don't get how this got a 97% on rottentomato, a solid 70% movie at best. The final boss fight is especially disappointing, there is no intensity just feel like they are going through the motion acting around and then finally Wonder Woman gets up and ends the dude.

This is almost a mirror movie to capt america first avenger.. But capt movie did it so much better in story telling.

Ah come on... obviously just trolling.
Moaning about a weak Villan.... that's a laugh, Marvel have released what 10 films and all bar Loki have been crap.

yes i live to troll you, learn to read

I did read the post it's anti DC and pro Marvel.....which was needless.
Marvel gets far to much credit...they have banged out alot of average paint by number movies.

Ps ...I went to and bought all those marvel films so I'm not bashing. I want all of these to be great

I also didn't like how Diana was so upset over
the death of her aunt on the island beach then by next scene that ladies death was all but forgotten, not even a funeral. Diana raged over Trevor's death more than the aunt she grew up with!

Diana's goodbye scene with her mother was also very flat and emotionless.

Also why not just tell Diana the truth on the island, holding it back from her served no purpose other than to create a useless mystery to the plot.

After Thanos and Darkseid are defeated I really think it's time for a superhero movie hiatus or at the very least a 50% reduction in output.

At least Marvel had a great run. :lol

DC is kind of blowing their wad early by having their heroes fighting Darkseid clones in their first outings.

Zod, Doomsday and Ares combined means i've already seen Darkseid lite.

The real reason was probably one of pacing.
But you could justify that because: A) there was a great, new threat after that event that the Amazons had to grapple with right away. And like real war, you don't have time to grieve when you have to get up and go right into battle again.; and B) romantic grief can trump other forms. That can be second only to grief over a child.

My only main complaint was that the villain couldn't be taken seriously. It was a nice twist from the DC and Marvel films, but just shot short of it. I agree that Marvel has always had weak villains. But to be fair, my favorite villains so far have been Red Skull and Yellowjacket.

I do feel this should have been done before BvS, and it does have a TFA vibe to it, but I love the cap trilogy. Both had unlikable characters though, as we only cared for Steve and Bucky. Pine was great as Trevor, and he brought a lot of emotion to the film. I really liked Gal a lot. She played a great Diana, but some parts are cringy for the effect. Especially when it's stuff like the world needs love, and it is your duty etc.

I do laugh at feminist for complaining it is too heterosexual lol.

Oh, and Poison could have been utilized much better.

I'd give it a 93/100

Though I pride myself on being pretty well versed in wacky D-list DC characters, I actually wasn't familiar with Dr. Poison from the comics. But, I thought the casting was quite good. She was wild eyed, and believably, borderline unhinged every time you saw her.

Yeah that was my problem. They made her pretty well, but then the spotlight is stolen from her, only to be the weak one. She could have been Red Skull, but ended up as Zola.

As you can see, I'm willing to go into the patented Khev defensive posture over this film, JYE. Throw any criticism at me, and I'll justify it :lol

I'm just so damn happy that all is not lost for DC. For that reason, I didn't think the "love" theme was cheesy at all! I thought it was the perfect approach, in lieu of the belief in misery and despair that Snyder wanted us to think would under gird the DC universe.

I just got back from this. It was really good! Charming, well acted, music was well used, story was logical and unfolded in a fulfilling way-- NOT A GIVEN AT ALL IN A DC MOVIE. I thought Gadot was really good. Can't really understand jyes complaint to be honest. She speaks with an accent, and is obviously naive, as per the story. But apart from that, acts circles around the by the numbers chick in Rogue One imo. And I didn't see that in bvs. Pines interaction with her really helped with that.

My favorite thing about the whole film was Robin Wright's performance at the beginning. Just perfect in that role. And the main villain was quite well done.

Pretty conventional story narratively, but I think DC needed that. Best post Nolan DC movie by a mile, and rivals anything Marvel Studios has done. I give it 7.75/10.

Wait what i'm too busy looking at her bouncing babies lol

lol@ khev patent

I see where you're coming from regarding the tone of the movie and I agree with your assessment but for me the core motivations from the amazonians that drove the plot was a mess.
